A few weeks ago I left a very honest two star review about this day care center and the honest and real reasons as to why we removed our daughter after nearly two years. I stuck to facts, left out my feelings and I did not personally attack anyone in that review. Instead of looking inward or responding to my initial review, the higher ups at Wee Care decided to have my honest two star review removed. Now they get a one star review and the same honest words repeated. Wee Care was once privately owned by an amazingly awesome family whom we truly respect. These folks built the best day care center in town. As of about two years ago, Wee Care is now owned by an out of state private equity. There are honest, caring, good and hardworking people who still work there (you know who you are and we appreciate you). These good folks are vestiges of what was once a place that we bragged about. The main reasons that we removed our daughter are as follows; Wee Care's actions and inactions of numerous things have caused employee and parent morale to cascade to an all time low. Hand foot and mouth disease went on for several weeks, SEVERAL TIMES and Wee Care communicated NOTHING to parents beyond "keep your kid at home if you notice anything" messages thru the app. Not a word as to what preventative measures were taking place to protect the kids (i.e. disinfecting/extra cleaning/etc.). Our daughter suffered for over a week TWICE with painful HFM sores all over her body and we weren't told a thing--I had to reach out and ask if anything was being done to help mitigate the HFM spread (nothing was except for SOME teachers spending their own money on cleaning supplies and their own time trying to do what they could). All three of our daughter's awesome and caring teachers were suspended, without pay/without notice/without parents being told why. Turns out WC was reviewing gossip and all three returned w/ back pay after two weeks. An older toddler teacher openly spoke negatively of our daughter to her coworkers saying that she "can't stand that girl" and "not looking forward to that girl moving up". We had a meeting with this teacher and the Wee Care director. The teacher said that she said those things "out of love" and that they were "taken out of context"--she wasn't disciplined at all and was believed by her superiors. We left that meeting knowing that we were going to be looking elsewhere for day care services. The Wee Care higher ups were also aware of an ongoing romantic relationship among two female Wee Care employees--business as usual/no investigations. In our daughter's last three weeks at WC (before we informed Wee Care we were leaving), she was held back from moving up with her friends (into the aforementioned older toddler's room). This change negatively impacted our once sparkling little girl as she was sad and cried at drop offs for the first time ever which broke our hearts. When we informed WC that we were leaving, we requested our recently paid deposit to be refunded. Our family had full intentions to simply separate amicably--despite all the crap that went down. Then, after two months and several emails later--we still didn't have our deposit check back. Once we finally received it, I decided to do what I honestly can't stand doing and really never do and that's leave an online review. Our daughter is now thriving at her new school, which is 12 minutes further away than WC, is more expensive and doesn't supply meals and diapers like Wee Care does--think about that. We made that decision EASILY and spoke with our wallets and our daughter's best interest at heart. Are there better places? Absolutely. To the Wee Care higher ups who removed my initial review; you can either delete my review again (which I will simply keep reposting) or you can look in a mirror, admit you dropped the ball, do better and make the improvements needed to both retain the good people who remain employed there and to show that Wee Care actually does care about the kids and parents that you serve. Godspeed.

We love this daycare! My oldest has been here since he was 3 months (now 4 yrs old) and my second has been here since he was 3 months (now 2 yrs old). I love that my second has been with the same teachers that we have really gotten to know. Some of the teachers, admin, and volunteers we have gotten to know and love are Karen, Alyson, Grandma Dot, Jenn, Kiana, Merry, Lexi, Alicia, Amy, Glenda, Courtney, and Jorena. Sara and Kristen are wonderful people to work with as director and owner. Because they are highly involved in the East Pete community, Wee Care is often involved in community events which makes it feel even more like home. Some of our favorite things that Wee Care has done and offers: -Edible Classroom program (we are constantly getting things like fresh veggies grown in the gardens or seeds to plant at home!) -water days during the summer -Soccer Shots program -Ice cream truck days for the kids -Annual school picnic -special guests such as Critter Connections -Books and Breakfast -app to send pictures/updates and so much more!

I absolutely love this daycare. The teachers are very involved, they are always doing crafts and activities with the kids. The interactive phone app that the center uses is amazing, I get pictures of my son throughout the day, updates on when he falls asleep and how much lunch he eats. I don't feel like I'm just sending him away for the day, I trust them and I still feel like I know what's going on even when I'm at work. I highly recommend this center. They offer activities that parents can be involved in. It's a very trustworthy center; Kristin is amazing and goes above expectations to make parents feel comfortable. The center is always clean, and they often have coffee too and it just makes my day. :)
