  After two years with our daughter here, we discovered that the center director was receiving money from a private research lab in exchange for having children participate in product testing and research, without providing informed consent to parents or passing the compensation to families whose children participated. She admitted to all of this. After confronting the director about this, she responded in a passive aggressive way, and indicated that we simply misunderstood it. I did not and do not misunderstand. What she was doing was unethical and potentially put children in danger. We can't really know for sure, because informed consent was never provided. Despite her admissions, there was never any accountability or apology. She admitted to it in the context that she felt she had done nothing wrong. During our daughter's time with KinderCare, communication was generally terrible. There were times when we would go to drop our child off, and a complete stranger would be in the room, apparently a new teacher, with no announcement or notice of any change. "Events" were lackluster and underwhelming. There is clearly substantial contempt between the leadership and staff. It's visible and palpable. This was clear by how much turnover happened during this period. We witnessed visible eyerolls and exasperated sighs from leadership when teachers would make simple requests. I really do need to give a shout out to the teachers here, however. They are simply wonderful, caring humans that generally go above and beyond. It's a shame that they don't have better leadership. Steer very clear of Downingtown KinderCare.

  The directors Melanie and Corrine are amazing, and all the teachers and staff here are top notch. They are qualified, kind, and amazing. We have both of our children enrolled here and highly recommend

  Both of my daughters attend this school—one in preschool and the other in kindergarten—and I’ve been extremely pleased with the quality of education and care they receive. The staff is professional, attentive, and dedicated to creating a safe and engaging learning environment. The teachers do an excellent job fostering both academic and social development, and the communication with parents is always clear and timely. My children have grown so much since starting here, and it’s evident that the school truly prioritizes early childhood education. I highly recommend this school to any parent seeking a strong foundation for their child’s learning journey. Meka & Mell Dad

  I can’t say enough great things about this Daycare. Ms. Adrianna, teacher of the 3 yr olds, is absolutely wonderful. She is extremely passionate & caring and takes great care of all her children(students). My child has learned so much over this past year and absolutely LOVES her classroom. I want to thank her for her dedication to teaching. In addition, Jeff and Rachel (Directors) are also wonderful. They are honest, have excellent communication, and make sure to follow up on any question or issues you have. They make sure the daycare always runs safe and smooth, particularly during this past (pandemic) year.

  We feel REALLY lucky to have found KinderCare Downingtown for our two year old. Everything has surpassed expectations. From the director to the staff, everyone has been kind, very communicative, and incredibly helpful. This is great for us parents, but the real reviewer is our two year old- he RUNS into "school" excitedly every morning. He is so happy to be there! It's always stressful leaving your child, but when you see them happy to be at daycare, notice how his vocab is expanding constantly, and he's happily showing us things he learned, that's all we needed to see to know we made the right choice. Having meals provided makes the value even better. When we moved here people had told us how great this location was, now having been there for several months we can attest that the reviews were spot on. We get pictures daily along with updates from the teachers. We love how we feel a part of his day even when we can't be with him. We are very grateful!
