My younger daughter started at KinderCare - Douglassville when she was freshly 2, and I was worried about how she would adjust, having just moved from Texas. She started in the DPS classroom, and the teachers were phenomenal, helping her find her place at KinderCare. My older daughter has gone through the DPS, Preschool 1, Preschool 2, and PreK classrooms and is now in the School Age room, and she has adored every one of her teacher. They have helped her transition to each classroom and even Kindergarten, helping her develop both academically and social-emotionally.
My younger daughter is a preemie, and I was more nervous about starting her in daycare. However, all the teachers in the Infant room were angels and were so patient and loving with my little one. She has a ton of food sensitivities and skin issues, and they have gone above and beyond to work with my family to ensure my younger daughter can still partake in the meals and activities at the center. Cook Ms. Vonnie deserves a medal for adjusting basically every meal for our child! My younger daughter has also received PT and speech services, and the teachers collaborate well with the therapists, incorporating the tips/resources provided by the therapists in their classrooms.
I eventually started working at the center a couple days a week, and I did initially fear that once I was on "the inside" and not just a parent, I would be disappointed with how things operated. Quite the contrary, I am even more impressed with the entire staff who work together to teach the kids regardless of ability and special needs. Management truly puts the kids first and creates a family environment.
I could type forever to express how happy I am to have found KinderCare - Douglassville. Thank you to Director Amber (and former Director Sheila), Assistant Director Britney, Learning Adventures Teacher Amanda C., Cook Vonnie, Storm, Steph, Jenna, Jared, Tiff, Amanda Y., Scarlett, Taryn, Kacey, Kortne, Destiny, Emily, Sara, Jess R., Sydney, Korynne, Maddie, Penny, Rhonda, Hannah, Reagan, and all the former staff and college kids who have taught and continue to teach my girls. Now almost 6 and 2, they are becoming strong, confident, and independent girls thanks to the care they receive at KC!

I was so nervous to start my children in care and faced a lot of backlash from extended family for the decision. After a lot of initial shame over our choice I was finally able to start believing I made the right choice for our family after seeing the change in our children. My quiet girl became a chatty light that skipped everywhere she went and gladly engaged with every adult she met. She’s been full of curiosity, energy, and motivation ever since. My son was four months old and had to be hospitalized shortly after starting for his asthma problems and his teachers were amazing with their dedication to his demanding medical schedule. He’s rambunctious, well spoken, and he and his sister have way more friends than I could have ever imagined. Their teachers have always loved them even at their most difficult and have always had time to talk about their needs and how things are going at home. They genuinely care for us all as individuals and a family. Thank you Ms.: Gloria, Storm, Anna, Amanda Y, Amanda C, Yvonne, Amber, Britney, Jess R, Jess W, Emily, Destiny, Casey, Hannah, and Regan!
We love all of you!
