June 17 - This new temple is peaceful outside and even more so inside.
I went at 6:45 PM as the sun was shining brightly still (and took photos a couple hours later, too). It's been open to members only since June 10th so everything is still new, and everyone is getting used to the layout. From the parking lot, the entrance is not visible; FYI - it's on the South side of the building. The grounds are quite beautiful, and the inside could not be more immaculate - spotless everywhere, including the restrooms. Everything in this temple is on a much smaller scale than
the Portland Temple - even the wastebaskets. It cannot accommodate nearly as many people. The ordinance room was at capacity - without a wedding. I highly recommend making a reservation. The Celestial Room was likewise small (like a large living room) but still quite glorious with a spectacular chandelier. The Bride's Dressing Room is fit for a princess with an impressive but more delicate chandelier, stunning stained glass, a gorgeous rug/carpet, and large gold-framed, tri-fold mirrors. The overall feeling was serene and heavenly. It was especially quiet in the Celestial Room. Come, take a walk around the grounds, and experience the serenity.
