The missionaries are very amazing, the group of members were amazing and I really felt welcome by most. No one seemed to look at me and turn their noses up... Except for the Bishop. This man made me feel so little and unwelcome that I nearly wanted to cry. I hoped the Lord removed him from this calling because there are many people out here who have been turned away from the LDS because of feelings like mine. And if it wasn't for the missionaries, I would not have held onto my interest in being baptized. Thank God that the missionaries had the love and attitude to let me feel the Spirit so I didn't hold anything against the church.
I forgive the Bishop, but if this is his personality all the time and he is in this calling, wear a "trainee label" that says, "Hi, being welcoming and loving is something I need to work on."

My family and I have been attending this building for over 10 years, I think (I've lost count!), and I have been a member of this church for 44 years. The members of our ward are very friendly and welcoming and we love to have visitors anytime! In addition to Sunday worship services, there are weekly activities for teenagers, monthly activities (sometimes more) for women, and also ward activities for everyone. This month, for example, we are having a ward Oktoberfest activity. If you would like more information about activities, you can call the bishop of one of the wards that meets in this building or attend the meetings on Sunday at the times posted and get more information there. A greeter is always posted just inside the front doors of the church before Sacrament Meeting to welcome visitors and members alike, and can answer any questions you may have or refer you to someone who can. Come see us! :-)
