This is not just a church, but a community / family that teaches people how to come closer to Christ.
Amazing group of people who are all imperfect, and on the same journey of becoming more like their Savior, Jesus Christ.

1 star is the lowest but I would give zero stars if I could. I stepped in the church and before I walked in, I saw through the glass door that people were having conversations. Once I opened the door to walk in, it got quiet and everyone in the hallway(about 8-10 ppl) all just looked at me for about 10 seconds or so until I left the hallway. No one one said welcome to the church or anything. Just evil stares. You would’ve thought it was a Get Out film for how they wouldn’t take their eyes off looking at me (all white people). No one welcomed me or anything l, but kept staring. I thought “Ok, let me go in the sanctuary. Maybe this is in my head. No one I’m getting these stares forreal.” I keep walking and as I open the door, I heard the Pastor preaching, but once I opened the door, he looked at me and stopped preaching and everyone in the church looked back at me for about 5 seconds. (I wasn’t a guest speaker or anything so why stop your message to direct your attention on me?) it was complete silence in the church, you could hear a nail drop. I walked out the sanctuary and when the door shut, then everyone started talking again and then I hear him go back to preaching. No one in the hallway was talking, but kept staring at me again as I walked back out. I went in the restroom hoping I it was in my head and as I go in the restroom then conversations start back up. I decided to leave so when I walked out the restroom, they got quiet again and all just looked at me until I left the building. And for anyone who dealt with racism before, it wasn’t just a normal look when someone walks by, but it was THAT LOOK. If you’re a POC and dealt with that before, you know THAT look. Smh. They should take the name Jesus Christ out the church because they did not have Jesus in the church at all. Never will I attend that church or any other ladder day saint church again. Mind you I had visited a church before where I was the only person of color and didn’t deal with this but was welcomed and was shown love. I felt God in that place at other churches. I DO NOT RECOMMEND this church to anyone. I wouldn’t want someone to experience what I did. I’m glad I already gave my life to Jesus early on in life when I did because had I not and didn’t know Jesus, this would’ve turned me away from all churches and away from Jesus if I did not know Him for myself, sad to say. Thank God I’m saved though and will pray for this church and the people in it. I will find a church for me but this one is NOT it.
