The Cedars at Woodland Hills – Tulsa, OK
I toured The Cedars at Woodland Hills and it immediately felt like the right place for me. When I arrived, I was in the middle of a difficult neuropathy episode and was extremely emotional. Kristin was simply amazing. She was incredibly patient, gave me all the time I needed to get back to a mental baseline, and her calm, kind temperament handled the situation extraordinarily well. Because of her, I felt genuinely safe — something I haven’t always felt during this transition.
The Cedars focuses on helping seniors “age in place,” which eased my mind tremendously, especially with my recent increase in PTSD with Panic Disorder and Major Depressive Disorder from 50% to 70%. They work closely with residents to ensure a healthy lifestyle, including providing meals that meet each person’s dietary needs — which in my case means careful diabetic considerations and foods that are compatible with my esophageal issues.
The staff made me feel supported and respected while still giving me the dignity of independent living quarters. The location also puts me closer to my three youngest daughters and gives me better access to VA care in the Tulsa area.
If you’re a senior (especially a veteran) looking for a compassionate, well-run community that truly cares about your well-being during life’s transitions, I highly recommend The Cedars at Woodland Hills. For me, it was the place that made me feel safe when I needed it most.
Look elsewhere if at all possible. If you want a shocking display of apathy, neglagence, poor communication, then this is your place. If I wasn't exhausted from the fallout of their mistakes I'm still dealing with a week and a half later Id look into accountability for their consistent failures. This place should be closed down.
This is a really nice apartment building for Independent Living! It has a heated swimming pool, nice cafeteria, exercise equipment for the residence, theater room, and the workers are always really nice when I come to visit my aunt. It's a nice secure place and I'm really thankful my aunt is there.
I lived 5 years at an Assisted living community here in Tulsa. I came to cedarhurst due to my improved health and becoming independent. I found my slice of heaven!
From my first visit here, I left with great feelings and couldn't get here soon enough!
All the management and staff make me feel like family. I've also made friends here that I wouldn't have met Otherwise!
The food is even better than most restaurants I've been To! 3 meals are offered everyday and it's always a variety of choices. Menu varies from day to day, week to week. You can always order a cheeseburger and French fries though!
I'm so thankful to call Cedarhurst of Woodland Hills my home.
