  Lou and staff did a very good job of helping me make arrangements as I had to transport my husband to a different state to be buried.They were caring and kind which I appreciated.The Sunday morning when my husband had died I was not happy with the two young women who came from Evans.I didn't feel they had the social skills to be professional nor sympathetic,honestly they acted like they were there to pick up an object rather than my husband.I realize I was in shock and it was early Sunday morning but in your business it is uniquely emotional and your customers need support.Then later that day one of them called me to ask if I wanted him shaved?! I was very upset by that as it seemed so irrelevant and unnecessary.closed casket burial not until May 26 and this was April 26th.That shows me they had no instructions about what to do.Then she wanted me to email a photo of my husband !I told her I didn't care what they did and hung up.I have not called Evans to complain but as time has gone by it bothers me more.

  Unfortunately, this is the second time I have had to use the services of Evan funeral home and yet both times I was treated with excellent care! Lou was an amazing guide through the process and so kind to me and my family! He helped to taylor design a funeral service that was perfect for our family and the ability to assist us in processing through our grief! I cannot say enough about the compassion of Evan‘s funeral home

  The people at Evans funeral home were extremely kind and compassionate when I had to make arrangements for my daughter who died unexpectedly. They were respectful and understanding and very helpful in many ways. Would definitely use them again!

  I don't offer many reviews on Google, and not usually for funeral homes / staff but I wanted to commend John Evans Funeral Home for the personal and professional care offered my family recently. Lew and his team went above and beyond to care for us at a challenging time - in planning, organizing, transportation to an out of town burial and for the day of the service. We so appreciate the details given and time provided to make the service special and perfect for our family. Thank you for the care during our emotional time / loss. We appreciate a business that understands the needs of a funeral and all that comes with it.
