We’ve been at Kids Country for 9 months now and are already preparing for preK graduation! When my son started at Kids Country, I was nervous about him starting in a new place so I stayed with him for a while each morning to be sure I felt safe and comfortable leaving him here. No one at the school questioned or gave me a hard time about wanting to be there. Some programs would rather you just drop and leave. I appreciated that they were open to me being there as long as I felt I needed to be. Some days I stayed for 30 minutes some as long as an hour.
On day one, we noticed a concern in the room he was placed in and expressed that to the director. She immediately addressed my concern and moved my son to another teacher so that there was no lingering concern. Within a day or two, the staff causing the concern was no longer employed there. It’s impossible to not have some issue from time to time with staff, so we didn’t let this discourage us as the moment the issue was brought to their attention it was addressed. This is what I expect from a childcare center. They are committed to ensuring every parent no matter their situation feels comfortable sending their kids here.
When we moved rooms, I was immediately relieved to meet Miss Gina and Miss Palak. Both greeted my son and Miss Gina explained the expectations of the classroom (preK). My son was the youngest in that room, but it didn’t scare them. They welcomed him in and ensured I felt comfortable with him there.
When my son first started attending, he didn’t even know how to hold a pencil or write letters. Now, at the end of his first year of PreK he’s reading and writing, has memorized my phone number, and can count beyond 100. Miss Gina and Miss Palak accomplished this in just 9 months!
He’s ready for kindergarten at 4 years old and has excelled.
Regarding comments about Miss Gina specifically in reviews, I agree with the other reviewer that she runs a tight ship. She expects a lot of the kids BUT she doesn’t expect more than they’re capable of. She wants them to excel and cares about them deeply.
For kids that are new to teachers, she can be a bit intimidating at first, and my son definitely had some days of being “scared” of Miss Gina in his first weeks as he was adjusting to the classroom. I want to be very clear that it was not because she was unsafe, or that she was genuinely being mean or rude. In having observed her, it was 100% that she is firm. Having been our first child, he doesn’t often get “firm” from dear old mom and dad so firm was an adjustment for him. But frankly, a needed adjustment. She prepares kids for life and that is in my mind a huge blessing for when he heads off to elementary school. He knows what it takes to be ready to listen, pay attention and learn because he has learned to do so at Kids Country!
Miss Collette and Miss Julie run a wonderful program. They truly care about all the kids. For us, a huge plus was that they ensure the kids eat healthy meals and spend lots of time outside. My son loves that there’s always a cart with fresh fruit to take as a snack on the way home.

Ms. Gina shouldn't be allowed near children. I raised 3 kids at Kids Country Fairlawn, over 12 years a customer. When my 4 year old moved up to her class he would be visibly trembling in the hallway at drop offs. After talking to several other parents who complained about her and pulled their kids, I did the same. And all brightpath is concerned about is the money.

After seeing a recent review I thought I would share my experience with Kids Country and Miss Gina. I had a daughter go through her class and now have a son currently enrolled. Miss Gina has been teaching pre-k for many years and has a robust program. Our daughter excelled in her class, learning to read by age 4. Our son, who has a completely different leaning style, has also excelled. Miss Gina runs a tight ship, but in my opinion that’s exactly what kids need, rules and boundaries. Her class prepares the kids for Kindergarten. We have many parent friends that have had kids in her class that agree. We’ve never personally heard or heard of her using disrespectful language towards anyone, especially the kids. She does expect the kids to follow rules and to have order in the class. I would put both my kids through her class 10x over! Thanks Miss Gina for having my kids ready for school.
***CAUTION WHEN ENROLLING***
my child went here for 3 weeks (pre-k class) every day came home devastated. Saying his teacher was telling him crying was not allowed and yelling at him to stop. Didn't think too much of it as he was new to daycare, thought maybe he was just making things up. Until Monday my wife went to pick up our child and cpuld hear Ms. Gina yelling at all the kids to shut up. Later when my wife made a post asking for new recommendations for daycare, withing minutes a dozen people came forward saying oh must be ms Gina from kid country. When trying to talk to he director, I got all but blown off saying they'd investigate and also eluded to the fact that theyve have problems with Gina before. This woman should not be allowed children and if she's around yours id highly reconsider. And to top it all off, they still want to charge me.fpr the full of December, even tho I had to pull my child out for an extremely unsafe environment
After having issues with a different day care, my trust in the system was extremely low. We kept our son home until he was 1 and decided on Kids Country. He absolutely loves it here and has excelled way beyond his age. He’s not even 2, he can say all his abcs, colors, shapes, fruits, vegetables, animals and can count to 20. He also knows a great amount of sign language and plenty of words. Kids country does a fantastic job teaching while having fun. He’s always happy to run through the door and hop down the hallway. He always grabs an apple on his way out!
