  We chose Marlon Gary because of our experience will Pam Williams who was the previous owner - who provided detailed/excellent service. We were hoping/expecting the same level of service and communication but unfortunately we did not receive that. Our family met with the coordinator and their intern to go over details which included our plan to do the obituary, program, and the video we desired to be played during the visitation hours and throughout the funeral. The communication surrounding the program and obituary happened and we were pleased; however they never accessed the video we submitted which we felt was critical considering our mother had declined such that she didn’t look like the woman we all knew but the video would have left an amazing reminder/reflection of her full life for family and friends. The instructions provided the due date and link for upload and we followed all instructions but the video was not accessed by the funeral home staff. The family labored over selecting the right photos as well purchased software to condense the photos per the specification but it was all in vain. The Owner is very responsive but the planning/execution of our loved one’s funeral was not what we desired for honoring her life. All we wanted was to make God proud and to honor our precious mother and the execution of the plans failed at the hands of the funeral home. I would recommend but would emphasize that families overly communicate to ensure all areas are covered prior to date of funeral

  From the initial contact everyone has been professional but also very kind and extremely supportive. I can't say enough about how Mr. Gary made extra efforts to honor my husband as a member of the Omega Psi Phi Fraternity. It was so thoughtful. The Staff really took care to make sure not only the family was comfortable but also our friends during the visitation and service. Organized precision was very evident. Marlan Gary Furneal Service made a tough situation easier to bear.
