- CCCodyJul 23, 20261.0I had a terrible experience here. The counselor who I saw was less interested in me and more interested in self-promotion and shilling her merchandise. I received links to her podcast appearances and YouTube videos, and no real specialized treatment plan. Just easily-Googled handouts about CBT. Every conversation seemed to veer towards "my website," "my YouTube," "my records," "my appearance on X Y and Z show." And let's talk about the environment. This is a place that specifically bills itself as Christian counseling. I was genuinely shocked to hear unprovoked, distracting and unwelcomed foul language being peppered in constantly. Look - I quite literally made a career working with truck drivers. I've heard all of the language and use it myself - in the right setting. But in a clinical setting that bills itself Christian? I found the constant use of it - for no reason - to be distracting at best. It made the counselor seem angry, trashy, and did nothing to further treatment or our relationship as client and practitioner. Overall, I cannot recommend this place.
