  I would like to take this time out to thank the entire House of Wheat Funeral Home Staff for a job well done . My daddy Terry L Lane Jr truly looked so nice and how I remembered my daddy before his illness. The Limo drivers were professional and caring as well. When I say I am so grateful and appreciative of everything they have done for the family of Terry L Lane Jr during our time of bearvement.   Let me say this plainly—because this is something people need to hear. I recently found myself facing one of the most difficult responsibilities a person can carry: arranging my Mother’s final celebration of life. At the time, I was living in Dayton, Ohio, and like many families, I had heard different opinions about The House of Wheat. The majority positive. But when you're in that moment, emotion is high, and clarity matters. Now, I had been here before with another funeral home. In 2021 I arranged my wife’s final celebration the first time I had ever taken on that responsibility. I was overwhelmed, grieving, and frankly, unprepared. Sitting across from a funeral director I personally knew, someone I trusted, I was presented with options. Respecting my wife’s wishes, I chose a memorial service at our church followed by cremation. The cost? Twelve thousand dollars. For cremation!. And at the time, I didn’t realize I had been significantly overcharged. That experience stayed with me. So when it came time to make arrangements for my mother, I approached things differently. I sat down with a representative from The House of Wheat, listened carefully, and this time I was prepared. I didn’t rush. I didn’t assume. I let them walk me through every option. And what I found surprised me. I selected a memorial service at my mother’s church, followed by burial at Woodland Hills Cemetery. The pricing was not only reasonable it was refreshingly transparent. And the level of service? Professional, compassionate, and respectful from beginning to end. So let me be clear: based on my experience, The House of Wheat delivered when it mattered most. And in moments like these, that’s everything. I highly recommend them. #bljsr
