  Roger Gerwe belongs on a blacklist. I can confirm the other reviewers experiences were not a fluke. He might be the worst listener I’ve ever encountered and he has a bad temper. He only hears what he wants to hear and invalidates everything else. At our second session he told me it was nice to meet me. When I told him we met at our first session he didn’t even apologize or try to recollect to make me feel more comfortable. We just proceeded awkwardly. He also stood up mid way through our session and told me to take his seat. He repeated it 3 times with me saying no thank you. On the fourth time, I was confused and asked him if he was being passive aggressive. At that point he sat back down and told me he was proving a point that he’s the therapist and not me. It was aggressive and humiliating. He then proceeded to criticize my body language. I explained that I was uncomfortable and he didn’t offer any assurance. When we scheduled our next appointment he made a flippant comment about how I likely wouldn’t show up. For some silly reason, I did show up and I went back for our 3rd session. I started the session by addressing how uncomfortable our previous session was and how it broke down trust between us. I stated that I needed repair before we could move forward. He refused to apologize for the chair part and doubled down on his assertion that it was an “intervention” technique. Mind you, this was our second session and he didn’t even remember our first! How can someone use intervention strategies with a person they just met and know nothing about? It was bizarre and humiliating. The only thing he apologized for eventually was forgetting me entirely from our first session. Read his reviews and even better, read his responses to the reviews. I’m looking forward to the lengthy response I will get where he convinces himself that he’s a good therapist and just “not the right fit for everyone”. It is so much more than not being the right fit. Mental health professionals have a duty to be respectful and caring. Roger Gerwe is neither.

  Roger Gerwe is the best! He's open, patient, understanding and honest. If you're looking for someone that will make you do the hard work that will lead to your situation improving or you becoming a better person, then he's the perfect person for you.

  Mr. Gerwe is amazing! Been a great help! Has been great with answering any and all questions. And is very patient and extremely informative! I would absolutely recommend his services. Thank you Mr. Gerwe!!!!!!

  My spouse and I saw him for about 6 mos and it was a total waste of time. He never gave us realistic suggestions to overcome our issues. At one point he even suggested repeating a mantra to help heal betrayal. Yeah, that was helpful! Not. Each session seemed to repeat itself and when I asked questions he accused me of arguing with him. He becomes frustrated easily. I definitely do not recommend seeing him.
