My sister was transferred here from hospital for rehab. From day 1 there were issues. Urine soaked clothes left in the bottom of her closet as nothing was labeled yet. They stayed there for quite a while. Rehabilitation, very basic. My main issue. We were there every night. I've worked in nursing facilities for years. I ended up sick and husband didn't visit for 2 days as I had surgery coming up. My daughter in law who is out of state called every night. For 2 nights her calls were transferred to her room with no answer. So we decided we better check on her. As we were driving received a phone call from the hospital. Apparently my sister was transferred to the ER 2 days ago! Two! No one called me. Get to the hospital and find out she is in ICU. I get at her bedside and I'm crying and apologizing for not being there. She had a breathing tube but couldn't speak or make eye contact. I stepped out of the room and lights and alarms are going off. Someone was coding. I realized who it was for as they all ran past me to get into her room. She coded. I saw my sister for about 5 minutes before she coded. She was the last of my family. I would not trust any nursing home. There may be a few good reviews. But if you've worked in one you notice what is or isn't done. Shame on the staff for not calling me.

My father has been at the Pines for approximately 10 months. Anytime you have to have a loved one live in a nursing facility you always worry. The Pines, I have no worries. The staff is second to none. And I mean all the staff. Forgive me, I can not mentions everyone’s name. Ross is amazing any issue is immediately taken care of and I mean any. If it’s please go check my dads cell phone ringer the staff on the 2 and 3rd floor always was accommodating in any way. Steve S is absolutely amazing. Joelle has made every financial process a breeze. The whole rehabilitation team... thank you The Best.... The men and women on every floor thank you. That’s all I can say, you guys make this so easy knowing my dad is cared for. All in all I highly recommend this facility. Everyone from the receptionist to the Laundry Manager and staff has helped me. Thanks Guys, Michael R Calcagnino
