  My mother did her rehab after suffering a mini stroke at Merry Heart and did great! She was there for about a month and for the most part was taken care of. I understand a lot of rehab facilities are understaffed and spread thin, but the staff here are caring and attentive as they can be. They were able to get my mom up and walking around, did her wound care, and made her and us feel well taken care of. The food there was alittle lacking, but nothing was terrible. The rooms never felt crowded or dirty and it was very clean. Security is something that they take very seriously there which I appreciated as well. Anita, Kisha, Beverly, Oscar, Ashley, and all of the staff were great to deal with and truly made this otherwise stressful experience much better. I would definitely recommend this rehab facility to anyone looking for a reliable and trust worthy place for your loved ones.

  I don’t recommend this place a month ago I had to take my dad and the place is bad and the Nurse don’t help the old people the helper of the nurse the do to much work and when a old person falls of he’s bed or from the bathroom the are not there to help the are always on a different place because the helpers are taken care of teen other people.!!! And I don’t recommend this place is to expensive for a bad action

  My mother in law who has Parkinson's Was moved to Merry Heart 9 months ago from another facility. She has been in other facilities and none were as great as merry heart. Starting with the admissions team they made it very easy for her to be transferred here and every one here is so nice , the nurses and aides have alot of compassion they truelly care about their residents . The admin and nursing supervisor is very easy to talk too and listen if their is a concern . The family and i are so grateful that she is able to be here.

  My 91 year old mother who suffers from advanced dementia was admitted into Merry Heart as a full time resident 2 years ago. The facility has an outstanding reputation and I felt fortunate that she was accepted as a resident as it has improved her quality of life in a positive direction in a life saving and profound way. The facility utilizes a multimodal approach to assure the utmost level of tailored professional care for its residents. This includes outstanding medical and skilled nursing care; PT/OT; medication management; and excellent activities therapy along with entertainment for all residents. The facility is spotless. The staff are caring, kind, competent outstanding professionals who maintain regular contact with family members and include family on all clinical decisions involving their loved ones. As a medical professional I highly recommend this outstanding facility without any reservations!

  Very concerning experience with both staff and management. I personally witnessed behavior that should never happen in a healthcare setting. On multiple occasions during overnight shifts, staff—including both CNAs and nurses—were asleep while call bells were going off. That alone is unacceptable when patients depend on timely care. What disturbed me the most was witnessing a CNA continuing to shower a patient who was fully alert, repeatedly asking them to stop and clearly in distress. The patient became so uncomfortable that he started crying. When I tried to step in and help because the patient was asking for me, I was dismissed and told he “didn’t know what he was talking about,” even though he was fully aware and oriented. That situation should have been handled with compassion and respect, and it was not. There is also a serious lack of support from nurses, who often refuse to assist CNAs with patient care. At the same time, there are frequent communication barriers between staff and patients, which patients themselves have complained about. Being able to communicate clearly with someone responsible for your care is not optional. Management does not appear to take concerns seriously. Issues are raised, and nothing changes. There seems to be more focus on dismissing concerns than addressing them. Overall, this environment lacks the professionalism, accountability, and basic level of care that patients deserve. I would strongly urge families to look closely before trusting this facility with their loved ones.
