  Home Instead has been a wonderful help for our family. It's very comforting to know someone is there taking care of mom when we can't be there ourselves. We trust her and our aide/companion gets along so well with mom and engages her and keeps her busy. We kive having her.

  Reviews are something I take with a grain of salt…as I suspect any reader of this might do as it relates to their perspective. That said, I have never written one…ever. Given that this is my first, one might imagine that extremely unique and impressive circumstances drove me to compose a statement. Home Instead (Canal Landing), as a series of individuals, and culturally as an organization, act as one individual in each and every interaction with their client base. This individual is characterized by compassion, professionalism, familiarity, empathy, commitment, responsiveness, responsibility to reputation, therapeutic…in a word, during a time of need: indispensable. Yes they were incredibly professional with me as I administered all the complicated aspects of my father’s care-giving. Yes they were profoundly respectful of my father as a human being in need of care and compassion. More to the point, this group is, as sad as this statement is in their given industry, unique…they truly set themselves apart as they rise to the occasion of delivering care. I have hired others, many…all in extreme times of need. I have been drained of all vitality as I tried to compensate for their shortcomings, all the while, my loved one suffered deepest. I was resigned to more of the same when I contacted Home Instead…they dispensed of all of those concerns, instantly…I never looked back. Your loved one becomes their loved one and from that baseline they soar in their every activity in your service.

  My family and I engaged Home Instead to provide in-home extra care for our elderly mother more than three years ago. They have been consistent in providing quality, caring, responsive staff to care for her in her home on a regular basis. They assist me with her post-stroke daily living and supervision. Having care givers in the home during this transition time has been extremely beneficial. She has bonded with her care givers who provide to me the needed respite and flexibility I have required. We would recommend Home Instead to anyone seeking this type of ongoing or transitional care for their loved one. We have been satisfied and delighted with Home Instead.

  We have been using Home Instead Senior Care for almost a year and have to say we are very pleased with the companion care our mom has gotten. Whenever I call the staff cannot not do enough to help us out with having the companion our mom enjoys having. They have become friends mom teaching her how to make her famous stew etc. I do recommend them to who ever is looking for stay at home care for their loved one.
