Horrible experience.
I unenrolled my son in early May after a serious incident where he suffered a deep gash on his forehead while in their care. They followed their version of “first aid,” but in my opinion it was completely inadequate. My son had an open head wound and was not taken to the emergency room. Instead, they called me after assessing the injury.
When I asked the director why he wasn’t taken to the ER after a head injury with an open wound, she told me, “He didn’t pass out, and I didn’t know if you had insurance.” I was shocked by that response. Since when does a child have to lose consciousness to receive appropriate medical attention? And what does whether I have insurance have to do with my child’s immediate well-being?
My son attended this daycare from September 2025 until May 2026. During that time, he was constantly sick with one cold after another. I understand young children build their immune systems and illnesses happen. However, he later developed pink eye, and I remember a teacher telling me, “Pink eye has been going around for two weeks already. We need to send out an email.” That was very concerning.
During the tour, parents are told the classrooms are deep cleaned after 6:00 p.m. every day. However, I frequently picked my son up between 5:55 and 6:00 p.m. and watched teachers rushing out for the day. On the few occasions I picked him up after 6:00 p.m., most of the staff had already left. It made me question when the advertised deep cleaning was actually taking place.
This was my experience, and ultimately it was enough for me to withdraw my son. If you’re considering this daycare, I encourage you to ask detailed questions about their emergency procedures, illness protocols, and cleaning practices before enrolling your child.

Do NOT enroll your child here. I have been there for a little over 4 months with 2 of my children attending and the amount of staff that has left is insane. Almost every name listed in these positive reviews has resigned and said how unhappy they were. One of the remaining teachers was so rude to me this morning after not acknowledging me or my child, and then attempted to gaslight me into believing it was my "perception" and not how she was treating me. Wow. This is a daycare!? We trust you with our children and pay A LOT of money to ensure that they are safe. Unexplained injuries, lack of communication, unable to retain staff and therefore completely understaffed. The teachers that brought joy are gone. I have no idea what is going on but it feels so bad and im not sticking around to see if it gets better. Unacceptable.

Thrilled to see the positive momentum at BrightPath Nyack!
Since the arrival of new leadership, it’s clear that a renewed sense of energy, communication, and care is taking shape throughout the center.
Gianna and Stephanie have brought a warm, approachable, and family-focused leadership style that makes parents feel heard and supported. Their dedication to creating a positive environment for children, families, and staff is evident in the relationships they’re building and the culture they’re fostering.
Change takes time, but it’s encouraging to see leaders who are passionate about growth, teamwork, and providing the best possible experience for the children in their care.
Wishing the BrightPath Nyack team continued success as they move forward together!

This daycare is an amazing extension in our family. The staff is incredible especially Gianna and Stephanie they make u feel comfortable on all levels. The communication and care is top notch. They make me feel so comfortable with leaving my child in someone’s care and become a part of family. I trust them fully with my child and the care they give. I highly recommend this center to anyone looking for quality care

Unfortunately, this center has declined significantly since Wanda Carter left. There appears to be a lack of support and appreciation for staff, and concerns raised by employees often seem to go unaddressed by leadership. As a parent, it can be difficult to find alternative childcare, which is why many families stay despite their concerns. However, I would not personally recommend this center at this time. Many of the dedicated and experienced staff members who helped make this a positive environment have since left, and the overall atmosphere and quality of care no longer feel the same.
