Five stars truly do not feel like enough for the care my family and I received from the team at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes in New Hyde Park after the passing of my mother. From my very first phone call with Kelly Foley, I felt we were in compassionate and capable hands. I was grieving while trying to make decisions about my mother’s funeral, and Kelly made an incredibly difficult process feel manageable. She was patient, reassuring, compassionate, and clear about everything that needed to be done. One moment I will always remember happened on the morning of my mother’s wake and funeral. Kelly and another wonderful staff member allowed my immediate family and me to arrive before the wake opened to the public so we could see my mother privately for the first time after her passing. It was extremely emotional. They welcomed us gently, gave us privacy, never rushed us, and made us feel comfortable. That quiet time with my mother meant more than I can express. The staff already had coffee and water available, and when we arrived with donuts, they immediately arranged everything for us. They also set up a podium and microphone so I could give my mother’s eulogy and family and friends could share memories. We did not have to worry about the details. They simply took care of them. What impressed me throughout the experience was how well everyone worked as a team. If one person was busy, another stepped in immediately. Erica Giglio had been helping me with my mother’s tribute page, obituary, photographs, and slideshow. When Erica was unavailable and we needed help with the slideshow, Kelly stepped in and took care of it. When you are grieving and managing so many details, having people who simply say, “We’ll take care of it,” removes an enormous amount of stress. Erica was extraordinary throughout the entire process. She was responsive, thoughtful, honest, and genuinely attentive to what mattered to our family. Even after the funeral, while helping me choose my mother’s urn, she noticed something she wanted me to know before I made my decision and personally called me. That honesty and concern meant a great deal to me. George Frangiadakis was our funeral director on the day of the funeral and was exceptional. He guided us with calmness, dignity, and respect, coordinated our departure from the funeral home and my mother’s Catholic Funeral Mass, and accompanied my mother and our family through the final arrangements at the cemetery and crematory. We never had to wonder what came next. My mother was Catholic, and it was very important that her funeral honor her faith while also respecting her wish to be cremated. Dalton coordinated everything beautifully. I also want to recognize every other member of the New Hyde Park staff whose name I may not know. Everyone helped make an incredibly difficult day easier for our family. What stands out most is that we never felt like customers being moved through a process. We felt cared for. More importantly, we felt that my mother was cared for. When you entrust your mother to someone for the final time, there are few things that matter more than knowing she is being treated with dignity, respect, and compassion. Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Homes gave our family that peace of mind. I will always be grateful to Kelly, Erica, George, and the entire New Hyde Park team for helping us give my mother the beautiful and dignified farewell she deserved. We will never forget your kindness.

I lost my father on January 23, 2026, and during one of the most difficult times of grief in my life, Dalton Funeral Home was truly a blessing to me and my family. From the moment I walked into their Floral Park location, everyone treated us with kindness, respect, dignity, and compassion. From the reception staff and usher to the manager and funeral director, the entire team was phenomenal. Stephanie was incredibly helpful throughout every step of this difficult process. She was there for us from the beginning until the very end, making sure we felt supported and cared for along the way. Stephanie was also very responsive, compassionate, and helpful whenever we needed assistance. Kelly did a phenomenal job caring for my father and preparing him. She handled everything with such care, and that meant so much to our family during such a heartbreaking time. One of the gestures that touched us deeply was when Dalton called my mother on my father's birthday. That thoughtful act showed us that they truly care about the families they serve, even after the services are over. To everyone at Dalton Funeral Home, thank you for treating my father and our family with such respect, dignity, and compassion. You helped us through one of the hardest moments of our lives, and we will always be grateful. Dalton, you are truly a blessing. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. ❤️🙏🏽 Sincerely, De Jesus Family
