My brother was at the Pines for about six months. He passed away there yesterday from lung cancer. The staff there is very caring and helpful. I would especially like to thank Kyah and Jasmine. They both went above and beyond not only in my brother’s care but also ministering to the needs of the family.

The medical care at this facility was abysmal, bordering on criminal. The rehab staff and PT professionals were very good. With regard to medical care, there was zero continuity, communication or oversight. Individual providers were competent, but lack of a system in place to ensure proper turnover, med mgmt., oxygen management, and overall supervision makes this place a dangerous option for anyone considering placing a loved one there who has any sort of medical complexities. They simply aren’t equipped and knowledgeable in that regard. If the only need is rehab, then it is adequate.

My father is in here for rehab. The staff is a nightmare, they don’t care. After being in hospital for over week he just wanted a shower. He was told on Thursday admission day it would be Monday. Well tonight I go and ask when his shower day is the cna says let me look well it was this morning and she signed he had it. Well guess what he did not because his hair is so greasy, he smells and he is with it enough to know he did not have one. On top of that the aid told my step mother she didn’t give him a shower but a good bed bath. Not the same thing. Then falsify documentation that you did give it to him. He was in pain we rang call bell almost 2 hours before someone comes. You walk hallway looking for someone and no one is found. They have him in a diaper because they are too lazy to toilet him. I am calling NY state tomorrow this is unacceptable treatment and someone needs to report them.
