I was at The Pines for five days after spending five days in the hospital after a fall. The food was above average. The facilities are lovely and the staff was wonderful. Especially kind and helpful was Tricia. She did so much for me, especially delightful showers that made me feel new again. Kudos also go to Courtney for her professionalism while being warm and positive. We need more health care workers like Tricia and Courtney. And Keri in PT was real and delightful. We need to pay them all what they’re worth! My insurance paid the entire bill, so I can’t speak to the cost. My only concerns were: 1. They were short-staffed, so the wait time was frequently excessive. (As long as 40 minutes) 2. My roommate was a very sick woman physically and mentally, which made it necessary for me to get her help like when she fell out of bed and had to be helped back in with four staff members and a Hoyer. Although she was very sweet most of the time, her mental condition caused her to blurt out obscenities at all hours of the day and night. I’m not sure she should have been admitted at all, but if so, she should have had a private room.

Being in the security business for over 40 years I like this system for visitors to check in to The Pines. My mom broke her hip and they have been great helping her get better.
