  I have been very happy with our experience at BrightPath North Syracuse. I will admit that I had some concerns in the beginning when my son was in the toddler classroom. He is very tall for his age and was already toilet trained, so I wasn’t sure that he was in the classroom grouping that was the best developmental fit for him. At that time, he also did not want to attend preschool. He would recognize when we were pulling into the parking lot and say that he didn’t want to go inside. As a parent, that was difficult to see and made me question whether the classroom was the right fit for him. However, once he transitioned to the preschool classroom, where the children were more closely aligned with him developmentally, we both had a much better experience. The difference has been remarkable. My son now absolutely loves going to preschool. He gets excited when we are driving and looks out the window and says, “There is my preschool!” Since starting at BrightPath, I have definitely noticed growth in his social-emotional skills, play skills, empathy, and ability to share. He is also learning so many academic concepts and surprises me every day with the things he has learned. My son receives special education services, including speech/language therapy, occupational therapy, and physical therapy. I have been very happy with BrightPath’s support and willingness to work collaboratively with his special education providers. He also needs to wear an eye patch for two hours each day following his doctor’s recommendations. His teachers have been wonderful about helping with this by following the doctor’s instructions and setting a timer. In fact, he has been the most successful with wearing his eye patch while at preschool, which I really appreciate. I also feel that his classroom teachers know him very well. They seem to be very creative in the activities they plan and clearly understand his individual personality, strengths, and needs. Even after a long day, they are energetic, positive, and appear happy to be there when I pick him up, which says a lot to me about the environment they create for the children. I have also been very impressed with the leadership at BrightPath. The Director, Mohamadia "Dia" Darwish, attended my son’s most recent Committee on Special Education (CSE) meeting and helped share with the Committee what his teachers were seeing regarding his sensory needs in the classroom. During the meeting, she was extremely professional and demonstrated a strong understanding of my son and his individual needs. She was able to share not only the areas that are challenging for him, but also many of his strengths, which I really appreciated. My son will also be starting Universal Pre-Kindergarten (UPK) at BrightPath North Syracuse in September, and he is already very excited about it. Knowing how much he has grown since moving into the preschool classroom, I am really looking forward to seeing how much more he grows and learns through the UPK program. Overall, while I had some concerns at the beginning about whether the initial classroom placement was the right developmental fit for my son, I am very glad we stayed. His experience has improved tremendously since moving to the preschool classroom, and I have seen meaningful growth in so many areas. Most importantly, he genuinely loves going to school and feels comfortable and happy there. I am very grateful for the care, support, and collaboration that BrightPath North Syracuse has provided to our family.

  My son went here for UPK and I believe some teachers enjoy what they do. When I told a friend where he goes, I was told this place is the kind of daycare just for money and doesn't care about the kids or families. And yea I believe that. I had a financial issue and couldn't pay for that week: my son was automatically suspended from wrap care (could still attend UPK) and I was charged a late fee. All other daycares (home and state) would never suspend for a missed payment. They would usually just give a late payment and usually ask if everything is ok at home. Not this place- I tried explaining the situation and they're like we understand and then make it seem like my payment is a paycheck for everyone. They hide behind their contracts and have no compassion. Then they say that if you know you can't make the payment for the week, to let them know Monday before noon. Nope, tried that 2x and they still take the money. Then summer camp is literally just daycare disguised as camp. They say the kids will go on all these field trips but leave out that it's only for the older kids and the younger kid families still have to pay camp prices for basic daycare. Literally a money grab daycare. And so disorganized, they lost so many signed papers for my son (probably others as well) including a copy of his physical that I handed to the director personally a week or 2 before he started. The first day I'm asked if I had his physical and I looked at both directors and said I had already handed it in. That's private health information and you freakin lost it. Yea find a different daycare if you can

  We LOVED Learn as you Grow! Ms Erin and Ms Nikki were so wonderful, and my daughter had such a great year there! We will miss them dearly.

  My daughter attended the UPK program this past year. Miss Kaleigh and Miss Branna are great with the kids! They are great at making education fun for them. I am impressed with how much my daughter has grown academically during her time at LAYG. We are going to miss them so much!

  Both my kids have been going to the North Syracuse location since they were 18 months. They are now almost 9 and almost 4. The staff are awesome. They never close. The hours and the tuition are both very reasonable. It is clean, safe, and secure. I have never had any issues. If I did, they would be addressed immediately. I highly recommend it!
