I’m here for the pool and imho the pool and sauna are pretty good. Some showers are broken, but I’m not too picky

We signed our child up for spring soccer at the park slope YMCA. We have watched every single practice and we are pretty shocked by the behaviour of the other participants. They are ignoring the coaches, not following directions for the drills, playing basketball and football with the soccer ball, calling each other names (loser, nerd). I'm sorry to say this, but the coaches do little to reprimand OR motivate participants. This has been a very disappointing experience and I would not recommend this class to others.

I’ve been a member for about two years and as a working class adult with no kids this place is pretty terrible in my personal opinion..aside from the locker room always smelling bad or old dudes with their Richard Nixon out, I come there to play basketball and it’s even a hassle to do that sometimes.. whether it’s them making you give your state ID just to use a basketball or slipping on the court because it hasn’t gotten waxed in god knows how long I can’t even get a good basketball workout in without getting kicked off the court because they don’t have another space for the kids to do activities in..atp I’m almost at the point of canceling my membership

I love this YMCA. People are extremely nice and want to help you out. Never had any issue with the service- have actually found the staff and team members to be quite accommodating of me and my young son- and love the classes (for myself and my son). Really great vibe and great options.

Needs serious renovations. Womens locker room is abysmal. I see that many complaints regarding the locker room are made in these reviews going back years. The management has the nerve to respond to these reviews that there are going to do something. They do not do what is necessary which is hire a full time locker room attendant which we had before COVID. This facility needs serious repairs the women's locker room is literally disgusting. Tepid water from weak water pressure in a cold dreary women's locker room. Also freezing cold is the small pool area leading to the locker room. There is no heat. They make a lot of excuses. It seems an executive review process takes place to solve a simple problem like THERE IS NO SOURCE OF HEAT FOR THE SMALL POOL. the pool heats the room so it is freezing. No thermostat. And the response: someone higher up needs to make a decision. So we have complained for months. No change. It's honestly insulting. They do not fix things without going through a 2 year review process. The facility has gone downhill.
