We have been very happy to have Champions as an afterschool care option as well as during breaks and summer camp. They provide a snack, help with homework, and do activities. Everyone has always been kind, helpful and considerate.

My son seems to enjoy his before school program at Champions for the most part. He has had issues with other kids picking on him and the staff doesn't seem to do anything to help. My complaints though mostly have to do with their customer service and billing. Firstly, their cost is almost double what you pay for before and after school care at The Boys & Girls club. Ok, fine. I got a contract when i signed my son up at the beginning of the school year and come Jan they have raised the prices already. Then, one week there was a holiday on Mon, a 2-hour delay one day and a snow day (cancelled school) all in the same week. On top of that, my son was ill one day that week as well. I understand having to pay for the day my son was ill, but essentially i ended up paying $35 that week for my son to spend 45 mins in their before school program on one day! Ridiculous! I tried contacting them for a credit considering the holiday and snow days and was told they wouldn't work with me. I dont care if it would have been just a few #x27;s, anything would have helped especially for a single working mom with no financial support outside my own income. The fact that they just don't seem to care about the families they "serve" (probably because they know we pretty much have no choice) is what bothers me. I would NOT recommend Champions to other families as a result of my experiences.

My brother goes here and his experience is awful with this new program. He has a lot of extracurricular activities and has to complete his homework in the after school program. This wasn't a problem until this program where all kids do is play and are forced to go outside and aren't allowed to do homework. I have complained a lot and the staff said they say they will let him to homework but every day he complains that they aren't letting him do homework. The after school program has been ruined. Before this year there was the right mix of going outside for recess and working. Now its just kids playing with toys for 3 hours.
