His house shall there be reared, His glory to display, And people shall be heard In distant lands to say: We’ll now go up and serve the Lord, Obey his truth and learn his word. For there we shall be taught The law that will go forth, With truth and wisdom fraught, To govern all the earth. Forever there his ways we’ll tread, And save ourselves with all our dead. -Joel So exciting!

Lone Mountain Nevada Temple & Construction Visitors’ Center The Lone Mountain Nevada Temple is already shaping up to be a majestic and meaningful addition to the Las Vegas community as the columnar pillars emerge from the ground toward heaven. Even during its construction phase, you can feel the significance of what this building represents. Temples are not just architectural landmarks—they are sacred places where individuals and families draw closer to God, make eternal covenants, and find peace, direction, and hope. In a world that often feels busy and uncertain, temples provide a place of stillness and spiritual clarity. In temples, we are blessed to come closer to our Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ, as we worship Him in His Holy House. Bountiful blessings are His promise—bask in those blessings as you participate in temple ordinances. This temple will stand as a symbol of faith and a beacon of light in the Lone Mountain area. Its presence will bless not only members of the Church but the entire community through the values it represents—family, service, and devotion to God. Once completed, it will be a magnificent structure, both visually and spiritually, and a place where countless lives will be uplifted for generations to come. In the meantime, the Lone Mountain Temple Construction Visitors' Center provides a wonderful opportunity to learn more and feel the spirit of what is being built. My eternal companion, Maryann, and I visited on Sunday, April 12 at 4 p.m. Elder and Sister Gentry, the couple called to serve, welcomed us with handshakes and smiles. They shared their experiences in their calling, updates on the ongoing construction, and the miracles already manifest in the building of the Lord’s house. One remarkable example was the excavation. Given the depth and scale required, it is extraordinary that no caliche was found—something quite unusual for the Las Vegas area. It truly felt like a miracle from heaven. Their presentation is interactive and family friendly. Children are invited to participate with coloring pages and are engaged in the discussion, including a coin-sized Jesus Christ. A video highlighting the growing number of temples worldwide is especially powerful, pointing not only to the work being done today but also to the future work during the Millennium, when many of these temples will play a vital role. All are welcome and should enter from Alexander Road, with the visitor center located in the first trailer on the right. Open hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.; Thursday from 9 a.m. to 12 noon; Saturday from 10 a.m. to 12 noon; Sunday from 4 to 6 p.m.; and Wednesday evenings from 6 to 8 p.m. No appointment is needed—just stop by. It’s an uplifting, educational, and spiritually enriching experience. We highly recommend visiting and feeling for yourself the importance of this sacred work.

It's Unfortunate how most people are Ignorant to what the temple truly is and shame on it without giving at least sometime to study it's purpose and why its important. I can testify that there is no other place to build it than here. Temples are a refuge from the world and literally the house of the lord, it's a great representation of the glory of God and his son Jesus Christ. Love him or hate him But Joseph smith did say "persecutions may rage, mobs may combine, armies may assemble, But the truth of God will go forth Boldly, nobly, and independent" and that "No unhallowed hand can stop the work from progressing". How blessed are we to have temples on the earth again!! It's a place we can feel the influence of the savior the strongest because it is set apart from the world to be a beacon of light and safety for our spirits. I can't wait to see this temple be ready to operate and work to it's maximum potential and be a beacon of light to the world! Our lord God be praised!
