I recently visited the Las Vegas Nevada Temple at 827 Temple View Dr and was completely moved by the experience. Tucked away on the eastern edge of the city (far from the noise and lights of the Strip), this beautiful temple sits on a hill overlooking the valley with the striking red peaks of Sunrise Mountain in the background.
The architecture is stunning — six graceful spires rise from the white stone structure, topped with the golden Angel Moroni statue facing east. The grounds are nothing short of spectacular: lush green lawns, vibrant flowers, mature trees, and a lovely cascading fountain create a serene, park-like setting that feels like a true oasis in the desert. Walking the pathways, you immediately feel the stress of everyday life melt away. There’s a tangible sense of peace and reverence that’s hard to describe but impossible to miss.
Even though only members with a temple recommend can enter the building itself, the grounds are open to everyone, and I was warmly welcomed. The entire site is immaculately clean and well-maintained. I spent a peaceful hour strolling, reflecting, and simply enjoying the beauty and quiet.
Whether you’re a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints or simply someone who appreciates sacred architecture and a moment of calm, this is a hidden gem you should not miss. I left feeling spiritually uplifted and refreshed. I’ll definitely return — and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a beautiful, peaceful escape in Las Vegas.
5 stars all the way!
