  I wanted to leave an updated review since my children have been going to this location for backup care for over a month now. Backup care is very tough because your child is not going to a daycare consistently so it can be more difficult for them to adjust. However, the staff has exceeded my expectations on making both of my children feel at home and know them as if they are going there every day. Every staff member in the building knows both of my children's names as well as the directors Ms. Sarah and Mr. Nic. From the moment you walk in, everyone is extremely welcoming and truly love to provide you with updates about your children. From the short time that my children have gone there, you can tell that they take the time to really know their personalities and make them feel welcomed. I can truly tell that they care about my children. I really can't say enough great things about this location. The facility is also extremely clean and they provide great updates throughout the day. The administrative staff has been very helpful and supportive as well whenever I have had questions or needed to communicate with them.

  Bright Horizons Rockaway has been a great place for childcare for my wife and I. They have very strong communication with parents and provide fantastic updates throughout the day. I would strongly recommend this provider.

  We said our farewells to the Bright Horizons team last week. After 4 years, both our boys are now in elementary school. They had a great time at Bright Horizons and made some really good friends along the way. Our youngest was in total 4 years at Bright Horizons and our oldest 3 years. The BH team did an excellent job creating a positive, safe and educational environment. We have had a lot of faith in the team also throughout the Covid pandemic. We kept our youngest home for awhile but that was clearly not good for him. The decision to bring him back was hard not knowing whether he’d completely safe.. In the end it all worked out so well. Not once was there an active case in his group; evidence that the BH Covid plan worked well and that all other parents also were serious about keeping their kids safe. In the end it was the right decision. When we would ask him how his day was, he’d say “Awesome” and never was dropping off a problem. That is what you want as parents… We wish the BH team all the best! Thanks again for all the good care!

  To say I am thrilled with the care my children receive at Bright Horizons in Rockaway is an understatement. They have been attending for over 2 years and we couldn't be happier. From the first moment I entered the building, I felt completely at ease, and like I walked into a warm and welcoming home. I too went to Bright Horizons as a child and have so many fond memories from that time. It now warms my heart that my children get to experience those wonderful memories as well. Even through a pandemic, the gentle, caring nature of this center has never faltered, instead has grown even more. Even through a mask, my children are still greeted with a familiar smile, a calm voice, and a day filled with educational experiences that bring joy. Each staff member at this center puts their heart into what they do, and that positive energy runs through this center. As an educator myself, I am very impressed with the skills my children are working on in their classroom, that are developmentally appropriate, foster positive attitudes, and encourage friendships and important life skills. Not only are my children learning the alphabet and numbers, but more importantly are learning how to be a kind friend, work through problems, share, celebrate cultures, and become their own person through guided activities that encourage growing. As a family, we are beyond happy to be a part of the Bright Horizons group in Rockaway!
