  This past July, we celebrated our daughter and son-in-law's wedding at the Livestock Exchange. The venue was absolutely perfect. Let's be honest... weddings can be a racket! If you have ever been in the planning stages, especially when it comes to the venue, you understand the sickening feeling that you must ultimately settle for this exploitative, over-priced system that leaves you with little choice. The Livestock Exchange was exactly the opposite. Let me start by saying do NOT judge this book by its cover. The location is outside of downtown Omaha with a parking lot full of free parking. The historic building has hidden on the 10th floor, stunningly beautiful and wonderfully restored ballrooms with gorgeous windows spanning the height of the room. They have 2 ballrooms which made for a perfect flow. We held the ceremony in one ballroom and guests afterword flowed freely into the reception ballroom where premade signature cocktails were already poured, and a team of professional bartenders awaited the crowd. There was no need to shuffle people around to reset the room. There was no bottle neck at the bar waiting to get a drink. Cocktail hour led into dinner hour and the table service was outstanding only to be matched by the food which was made by Livestock in their commercial kitchen. Food was served fresh and hot and was delicious - something you have come not to expect at a wedding. Joe and his lovely staff were so accommodating. They met OUR needs and wishes as opposed to us having to conform to their way of doing things. From set up - working around our schedule, to takedown - allowing us to come in the next day, they made everything so very easy. It allowed us to enjoy the whole day - beginning to end without having to worry about a tight schedule or timeline. Joe and his staff including Betty and Mary were truly wonderful. I cannot recommend them enough.

  We hosted a 115 person wedding at the Exchange and had an amazing time. The staff was very attentive and professional, handled all of the cleanup and majority of set up, we just needed to put down our personal details. They organized time with us the day prior to receive our dessert so we had one less thing to think about and they created a wonderful flow day of. Plus the building is just beautiful.
