  My two boys love this school. The teachers are and the director Missy and fantastic. They do so many extras for the kids. And most importantly they really focus on emotional support and how to be a good friend.

  We have had such a positive experience with this preschool. My son absolutely loves going to school each day, he even asks me to go on weekends! He has been in three classrooms with this school- the 2's, 3's, and 4's. Each classroom has been amazing. He has met the best of friends and adores his teachers.The staff and teachers put so much care into each child, and it shows. We are moving out of town soon and are so sad to leave this school! We wish we could take WPA with us. It has truly been a saving grace. If you are looking for a trusting, enriching, safe space for your child- I could not recommend this space more. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking such great care of my little one!

  We can’t say enough wonderful things about Wilmington Preschool of the Arts! We tried for years to enroll our son in a preschool in Raleigh, but the waitlists were so long and every option was SOOO expensive. After moving to Wilmington without knowing anyone, we enrolled our 3-year-old just days after arriving, and it was the best decision we could have made. The teachers are absolutely amazing—so kind, nurturing, and genuinely invested in each child’s growth and happiness. I honestly can't single out just one teacher because they are all wonderful, but the Creative Cassatts and Petite Picassos teachers (plus all the awesome floaters) hold a special place in my heart, and have all, at one point or another, been my son's self-proclaimed "best friend"...high praise from any 3 year old! Our son adores going to school every day. He’s thriving academically, socially, and creatively, and it’s clear how much thought and care goes into the curriculum and activities. The staff made the transition so easy for our family and helped us feel welcome and connected right away. If you’re looking for a place that's inclusive and feels like an extension of your family, where your child will be loved and supported, Wilmington Preschool of the Arts is it. We’re so grateful to have found this gem!

  My 5yr old has been with the preschool for over 2yrs now and absolutely LOVES it. The teachers and staff are amazing! My son comes home learning new things every day! The classrooms are well maintained and clean and every child is on a routine. Every teacher knows EVERY child and parent regardless if the child is in their class or not. I could go on and on about how much we LOVE this preschool. It is the PERFECT learning environment for young children to thrive and grow and again I cannot stress enough about how absolutely wonderful and caring all the staff is!

  My daughter has attended Wilmington Preschool of the Arts since she was 18 months old (2010). She just turned five and I can count on one hand the days she 'didn't' want to go to school. There are several teachers who have been there the entire time she has attended, as well as students. Never have I had a problem, or disagreement over her care. Some of the great things about WPA; 1. They have small classes. 2. They have access to the ballet studio next door for indoor playtime, music, movement, etc. 3. The playground is surrounded by a 6-foot privacy fence. 4. Every school room is inviting, has several stations of discovery/learning/play. 5. I have seen them continuously add/update/rotate toys, books, and materials. 6. The day is structured with periods of age appropriate lessons. 7. I have no doubt my daughter will be ready for kindergarten Aug 2014. Since Ms. Debbie purchased the school I have seen nothing but improvement in the quality of the school. And I loved the school before. She is there everyday and very accessible to speak with. I also receive regular updates and newsletters via email. On a personal note; My little one did not take to the potty well. She wore diapers/training pants until she was nearly 4. WPA staff were very patient with her and me as well; there was much celebrating when she did make it!! My daughter is such a happy, loving, smart little girl. I know I have Wilmington Preschool of the Arts to thank for part of that!
