We unexpectedly lost my brother a couple of months ago. I reached out Ian Wall with Cumby funeral services. He was amazing, during a very stressful time for my mother, my nephew and I. Ian and Cumby services made everything seamless, they took wonderful care of us and my brother. Ian saw everything through including delivering the ashes to my nephew. We've had a lot of death in our family and have had to deal with a lot of funeral homes, this was by far the best service we have received. If you are ever looking for a place in a dreadful time and you want someone that will actually care more about you than the money you bring, choose this place and if you have the pleasure of working with Ian, you will not be disappointed.

Throughout the years, my family and friends have continuously used Cumby Family Funeral Homes for services and the rest of the High Point area should as well. Here’s why: Nobody likes funerals and saying goodbye to loved ones. However, having a proper ceremony and send off is the final act of love that we can give. Ian and Aaron sat down with my family and guided us through what the funeral would look like. By truly listening and making our family feel seen and valued, they brought a sense of calm and allowed us to work through everything we needed to, even in the most difficult moments. At the end of the meeting, Ian gave everyone his card and said to reach out at anytime if we needed anything - and he meant it. He was very communicative, responsive, empathetic, and gracious to all of our family’s requests during such a difficult time. Aside from compassionate funeral directors, one of my favorite parts about Cumby is the very large chapel. The chapel has rows of pews where everyone can sit comfortably, allowing guests to be fully present and focused on honoring their loved one rather than standing or being distracted by a lack of seating (which is something I’ve noticed at other funeral homes). I also want to highlight how accommodating and respectful the staff is toward other cultures. Our funeral ceremonies involved many layers and traditions, and the staff at Cumby consistently went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed throughout the service. As I told Ian, I don’t look forward to the next time when I have to see them again - but we will always go back because we know we will be taken care of.

Caitlin and Kenneth were easy to work with in making preparations for end of life. They clearly explained all options available and let us decide which of the many options we wanted. All paper work is placed in folder given to us so we can store in a safe place when needed. All prices are locked in once you sign the agreement and you do not have to concern yourself either additional cost unless you make changes.
