Everyone (especially Michael Cumby-our personal Director) there was so focused on our satisfaction throughout the process. From the initial call to the communication nearly daily until the service. Not only did they respond to our needs and questions but Michael was quick to offer creative, affordable solutions throughout the process. The facility was excellent and comfortable for everyone. When it was over, I had a couple of questions which Michael answered but he provided a Family Resource Guide which was excellent in answering questions but also identifying other potential areas for follow up. My wife, Cathy, my brother Joel and sister-in-law, Robbie along with many others involved in the service on Sunday, kept telling each other how this could have been the best customer service we had ever seen. The Cumby staff helped make a sad day one of celebration and provided us peace of mind that all would be handled and would be handled with dignity and grace. For anyone considering a company to handle their family's funeral needs, there is no one that I would recommend at their level or higher than Cumby Family Funeral Homes.

The funeral home will assist you in determining the number of copies of the death certificates you will be needing and can order them for you.
Make a list of immediate family, close friends and employer or business colleagues. Notify each by phone.
Decide on appropriate memorial to which gifts may be made (church, hospice, library, charity or school).
Gather obituary information you want to include such as age, place of birth, cause of death, occupation, college degrees, memberships held, military service , outstanding work, list of survivors in immediate family.
