NC MedAssist is North Carolina's only statewide nonprofit pharmacy. Through its Free Pharmacy Program, NC MedAssist provides free prescription medication to NC residents who are uninsured and have low income. NC MedAssist also makes free over-the-counter medicine accessible to all NC residents through its Mobile Free Pharmacy program, which brings free OTC medicine giveaway events to communities throughout the state each week. Located in Charlotte, the OTC Free Store also provides free OTC medicine to the community. The Mobile Free Pharmacy Program and OTC Free Store are available to all, regardless of income or insurance status.
