Founded in 1955, Care Ring is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing health services for the uninsured, underinsured or those lacking access to affordable, high-quality health care. The Care Ring Clinic and Physicians Reach Out programs offer a wide range of free and donation-based medical care for people of all ages. Care Ring is also home to Nurse-Family Partnership and A Guided Journey, two free programs for qualifying new and expecting parents. Their goal is to improve the health and quality of life for mothers and their babies. Care Ring also operates a Food Pantry on-site (by appointment). It annually serves more than 10,000 people in Mecklenburg County and is a leader in collaborative efforts to improve community health.
