We are all created in God’s image. Not one of us has any less value than another, and yet, many of the poor we meet at Watered Gardens have been told for years they have less value or are of no worth. This devaluation occurs through lack of love, abuse, and judgment.
The Worth Shop offers an opportunity for the poor and homeless to be creative and endeavor to build products that go to market. Clients can work a predetermined amount of time (30 min, 1 hr, etc.) and receive food, clothing, shelter and/or other basic needs in exchange. They work alongside volunteers and have an opportunity to build relationships while they perform simple tasks.
Customers generally enjoyed the food, noting it was fresh and tasty, although there were some complaints about specific items being cold or not prepared correctly.
