The staff are very inconsistent with being on the same page about rules for the Youth. I am a former Youth and experienced a lot of disrespect and rudeness from many staff members, including Nisha, Zoey, Claire, Ellen, and Jeremiah. The staff consistently treated myself and other Youth as inferior and as if our voices did not matter.

I went here 3 different times over a span of 4 years, first time was amazing. I finally felt heard, they sent me back home. I came back 3 years later, was almost denied because my parent or guardian didnt drive me there, best friend drove me there. They sent me home again after I told them I didn’t feel safe going back. I came back a week later, they told me I was over reacting to the kids bullying me, I was the only girl, I would get sexualized by the other youth there. I filed complaints. Never heard anything, a kid was talking crap about my body and my mom (who passed away). I slapped him. I will admit that was wrong of me. But he then preceded to try and fight me, saying he was going to kill me. Staff sent me to my room and threatened to send me to the hospital because I was “mentally unstable”. I ran away later that night. They don’t treat the kids like humans. Very disappointed.
