The Grand Rapids Michigan Temple was announced on 2 October 2022 by Pres. Russell M. Nelson. As the second temple in the state, current plans call for a single-story, 20,000 square foot structure. Groundbreak was broken on 7 December 2024.

The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is working hard to build and maintain positive relationships with the neighbors and with city leaders. It will be so good to have a House of the Lord in western Michigan! It will certainly help everyone in the area come closer to our Savior Jesus Christ.
