We have had such an amazing experience at Gaines KinderCare! Like anywhere, we’ve had a few bumps along the way, but what truly sets this center apart is how the staff handles them. The teachers and director go above and beyond to communicate, support, and make sure every child feels safe, loved, and cared for.
You can genuinely tell how much they care about the kids and their families. The level of dedication, patience, and kindness they show every single day does not go unnoticed. It gives me so much peace of mind knowing my children are in such great hands.
We now have two kids attending, and I can confidently say we wouldn’t think of taking them anywhere else. So grateful for the entire team at Gaines KinderCare!

Finding a daycare is one of the hardest decisions a parent faces with their young child, you hope that your child will be cared for, loved and nurtured EVERYDAY. Unfortunately that wasn’t our experience within this center. Our child who was under a year and not walking was forced from the baby room shortly after starting into the toddler room where our issues began 1. She obviously wasn’t ready considering most of these kids are walking and she wasn’t, 2. most of these kids were bottle weaning and she wasn’t but we felt they needed the spot in the infant room and selfishly moved her when she wasn’t anywhere near ready.
First instance our child was bit all protocol were handled with care as they should be, both sets of parents notified incident reports filed etc. however this wouldn’t be the case for several other instances. Twice we get home to notice several bite marks on our daughter the first time I bring it to the directors attention and she apologizes and promises to investigate. I have to follow up several times to only end up with an answer of “I’m not sure we must have a sneak biter in the class” you mean the class that less than a week before you made the decision to move an infant child to??? First red flag. A week or so later I pick her up and her daily bottle is still full of formula (mind you at drop off all 3 teachers were present and I asked where they’d like my daughters bottle considering there isn’t a fridge in this class). All 3 acknowledged and the lead told me to place it in the kitchen fridge. 8 hours later my BABY hadn’t been given a bottle all day. She was still under 1 year mind you CDC recommendation is that infants consume formula or breastmilk until a year for best nutrition and vitamins especially DHA for brain development. I bring this up to the directors attention and she assured me she’d make sure baby got her bottle. Over the next couple weeks there would be several bite incidents that get sent home really making us question what’s going on. In the 5 weeks since they moved our daughter into the toddler class she was bit 8 times. Her last week there was just after her first birthday when they called to inform me she was sick and I needed to come get her. I got her home and found the deepest darkest bite mark on her back above her hip area. This wasn’t just a quick bite this child must’ve latched on with force for some amount of time to leave a mark like that. The next day we went up there demanding answers and they acted as if the blame was on the group on 1-2 year olds not the 3 teachers present in the classroom. Thats when it became clear we obviously entrusted our daughter in the wrong care here. The director wanted to share publishings on how biting is a normal toddler behavior rather than accept accountability for the fact that my daughter was at a rate of 2 bites a week since moving classrooms so we gathered her belongings and refused to return.

Quality care is in the details. Just some examples: 1. the consistency in communication, pictures, and videos sent daily. 2. Small postive moments from the staff that include pulling me aside to share cute stories or even gestures of kindness to my two year old directly. This location is excellent and I appreciate that the staff truly care about the children they care for.
