We love Squirrel Road KinderCare! They're kind, patient, and extremely supportive to every individual who walks through their door. Our son is learning so much there every day.

Negative stars if I could. -⭐
Welcome to the Squirrel Road KinderCare, where apparently the first rule of Preschool Fight Club is that nobody adequately supervises Preschool Fight Club.
My four-year-old lasted six school days.
During his first week, he repeatedly reported being hit by the same child. Then he came home with bruising around both eyes and scratches across his face.
Naturally, I had questions. Silly little mom questions like, “How exactly does a four-year-old acquire two black eyes at preschool?”
I spoke directly with the director about the repeated aggression and inadequate supervision and specifically requested increased supervision.
KinderCare rose magnificently to the occasion.
He had three more incidents that same day.
He was intentionally struck in the eye with a toy car and later hit and scratched again. My son pushed the child away.
They wrote MY SON an incident report for pushing him away.
Apparently the emergency response plan is Toddler Self-Defense.
The classroom itself was loud, cluttered, worn and chaotic. The overall environment felt like sensory overload. Imagine somebody dumped a preschool into a blender and hit PURÉE.
That's the vibe.
But then it stopped being funny.
On his final morning, my normally school-loving four-year-old cried, begged me not to leave and scanned the classroom looking for the child who had been hurting him.
Six days should not be enough time to make a four-year-old afraid of preschool.
I transferred him immediately. After his first day at his new GSRP preschool, he happily told me:
“It's not loud there.”
And, most importantly:
“I feel safe.”
I don't expect four-year-olds to behave like tiny Victorian gentlemen discussing the weather over tea. Kids make spectacularly stupid decisions because they're four. That's why we put adults in the room.
My concerns are now being reviewed by KinderCare leadership and Oakland Schools.
My child was never going to remain the crash-test dummy while the adults figured it out.
-⭐ Zero stars for Preschool Fight Club. Five stars to my kid for surviving orientation.

We have been attending Kindercare for almost 4 years, and we are beyond happy. Excellent leadership from Ms Justine and Chelsea. The teachers are amazing, they really care about your child and to create a good relationship with them. Very structured schedules, and I love that you can get pictures and general communication through their app.

We have had a wonderful experience with Rainbow Child Care in Auburn Hills! Our baby girl has so much fun and she does so well there! She's learned so much, too!! It's so fun that a daycare teaches her counting, colors and even sign language! It was the cutest thing to see her sign for "help", "all done" and "please"!! Such a great feeling as a working parent to know she's happy and learning! They have also been super awesome with phone calls from me when I'm worried about my baby (if she had a rough morning at home) or if I just miss her and want to hear that she's good. We're so happy! :D (My daughter has been there from about 10-11 months to 2 years (when I wrote this review))
Edited to Add: since my review 2 years ago, we're still very happy with this location! It's now become Squirrel Road Kindercare and I've had a second child to take to daycare. Both of my girls love going to daycare and I feel very involved with their day-to-day! They are really good at updates on their app and the ladies that are in charge are super responsive to messages and calls! The teachers in each classroom love their students and I love their focus on teaching, even with the younger crowd. This is definitely the best place to take your children, especially during such uncertain times as a global pandemic!

My child(ren) have been at this center for the last 3.5 years and I can not say enough great things about Rainbow-Auburn Hills. The staff are awesome, caring, and creative individuals who always make my kids feel like they are at their 'home away from home'. The staff take the time to communicate the high and low points of the day with your child, and really work as a team with the parents to determine the best learning/behavior/activity strategies for each child. My children adore their teachers and have so much fun that many days they want to stay later. They have learned so much, and I am so happy to have had these caring people in the early years of my children's life.
