This morning drop off- 7:50 am 6/8/2026 Normally I would address concerns directly however the new administration has called the police on concerned families trying to address concerns in person! First thing is the day started out with the day care opening late- clearly because of on going staff issues. I have missed work because my granddaughters class has had multiple days of classroom closures. Many parents and littles were waiting for the building to open, the broken metal pipe is still on the grass- just waiting to impale a child Then I notice a young woman standing at the door who I will say had the facial expression of someone who just ate a poop sandwich. I thought she was just another irate parent until I noticed the kb fleece she was wearing. My stomach dropped and I got the most uneasy feeling in my soul. This was a teacher at the school- who has the worst attitude/ expression - she did not greet or interact with any students or parents. I am not expecting ms. Rachel enthusiasm however I do expect common curtesy and some level of professionalism. After many years with no concerns the last few months have been horrible!

I am an outraged parent who just got turned away from dropping her child off because they closed her classroom down for the rest of the week and I was not notified about it. Now my child is crying and wanting to go see her teachers and friends but isn’t able to as this is a common occurrence over the last two months. Now I have 15 min before I’m to be to work, to find childcare for her.

Knowledge Beginnings had the bar set high for standards. It used to be what anyone would call a wonderful experience and some locations are still excellent. This location, however has a newer Director by the name of Erin , ever since this person arrived the standards are getting lower and lower. For example you can practically walk right in off the street. Even though you need a code to gain entry a random child will open the door for you because there is almost never anyone at the front desk or office watching. When there is someone at the front desk or in the office they are typically engaged on their phones or eating. Now on to bigger issues. Another child hit my daughter which children will do from time to time. When this was reported to Erin and Linda they immediately down played the incident citing “it was the child’s first day” and “sometimes kids don’t know how to be nice on the first day”- referring to the child that hit mine. This notion in Erin’s view apparently makes it acceptable. This was 2 days ago as in Wednesday July 10th 2024 not one word from Erin saying hey we spoke to such and such and moving forward we will such n such. So today (July 12th 2024 ) I decided to go with my gut and take my child out of that daycare. No more than 10 minutes later we get a voicemail from Linda claiming she spoke to the child’s teacher (what are the odds) ... but why not his parents??? Really??? Assuming this to be true which I do not, when was Erin or Linda planning on letting us know this ? The former, professional and absolutely competent director Sabrina would have. Sabrina would have called us at home literally the following day letting us know what has been attempted or done to remedy the situation which is precisely what a parent wants. But as you can see the bar is much lower now. Always Go with your gut with this location. Beware

Our kid started here in Jan when we moved to the area. I'd called several places since finding daycare is so challenging, and my very first interaction with the site director, Erin, was so pleasant and helpful. She let us know in June that they'd a spot available in Jan and provided all the relevant information. She responded to my email promptly and really got all the paperwork in place smoothly so I didn't have to stress about it as we were figuring our move. She was also glad to show me the center around during my visit even though I'd already signed up my kid. My subsequent interactions have been equally pleasant and helpful. I can say that that has not always been my experience elsewhere. The center's co-director, Linda, is also wonderful. She's always there to respond to messages and answer questions. And I've never seen her get bothered by my questions. My kid's teachers, Ms. Kenzy and Amanda, are amazing. My daughter is so happy at school, and she's learning a lot. They send us at least two pictures a day, and that means a lot to us because we are not picture people. So, having these pics from school means a lot. Ms. Kenzy also keeps food aside for her when my kid has to go to a doctor's appointments. Or offers her something else that's still nutritious when she's being a fussy eater. She's a caring and thoughtful teacher. The teachers invest so much time and energy in designing activities and curriculum. I couldn't imagine anyone doing a better job. They are also super nice about helping out with medical needs when needed (like putting eye drops). And they respond to my concerns and messages even after the center has closed! I'd be remiss if I didn't mention other teachers Ms. Nasiya, Emily (and so many others whose names I don't remember because I don't see them as regularly, my apologies) who also are invested in my kid. They are exceptionally kind, warm, caring, and patient. Lastly, I do not know the kitchen staff personally, but I appreciate the fresh and healthy food menu they plan for the kids.
