  Our son has been attending Brightpath Maynard since he was about 5 months old and we’ve genuinely enjoyed having it as our daycare. From our older daughter, we learned that when looking for a daycare there’s all sorts of things they’ll try to sell you on- programs, sanitation, meal plans, etc., but the most important thing that will pay dividends in a child’s development is the teachers. So we set out looking for a daycare where the teachers were who we wanted our son to spend 9 hours every day with. From our first tour with Miss Brittnay we noticed that the teachers were calm and happy, as well as the kids. Through his time in the infant classroom teachers like Miss Shea, Jodan, and Natalee raised him with kindness and care. Now he’s in the toddler room and we’re still getting to know everyone but he’s really warmed up to Kayli and Miss Ariana already! Sure, every daycare has hiccups but the consistent thing that has remained is that I’m able to visually see that the teachers enjoy having him there. A very special shoutout to some staff that he hasn’t spent every day with but have made lasting impact on our desire to remain at Brightpath - Miss Mary, Miss Kaitlyn, and Mr Jayden (whom I’ve never seen without a smile). The daycare rates are fair for the area, they have a large refrigerator-sized sanitizing machine for all of the toys at the end of each day, and the location is very convenient with Market Basket, gyms, and restaurants occupying the same center. Highly recommend this daycare for the care of your children.

  Making the transition to daycare was easier than I expected because we felt so good about leaving our baby with BrightPath. The teachers and staff are very professional and responsive, and the center is clean and well-equipped. Our little guy is thriving in Ms. Jodan’s room where there are always fun activities happening.

  Ms. Michelle and Ms. Abbey are wonderful with my toddler. I love how they are attentive to the children from drop off until it's time to leave.

  While we originally loved BrightPath, our experience deteriorated over the year our child attended daycare there. I cannot in good conscience recommend anyone send their child to this daycare. There have been many great teachers there, trying their hardest to deliver the best possible care, but it became apparent that leadership’s drive to control costs was coming at the expense of our son’s and other children’s care. The center struggled with near constant teacher turnover, often replacing truly caring teachers with those who did the bare minimum or less. Classrooms were often shuffled throughout the day - combining across toddler and infant classes - and we often didn’t know where our son would be or what teachers he would have at pickup. We were often notified about staffing shortages and asked to keep our son home if we could. When he started in the toddler classroom, we could see that our son was doing multiple structured activities throughout the day, including story time, art, structured play, and outdoor time. By the end though, it became clear he was mostly being left to entertain himself and go wild with his classmates. He would come home exhausted and overstimulated everyday. The final straw for us was repeated issues with poor diaper changing hygiene, despite ongoing feedback to the teachers and center leadership. After our son came home screaming and crying because he had a diaper rash so severe it was blistering from not being fully cleaned that day, we quickly found a new day care. He has not had a diaper rash since. Since we departed, we have been made aware of multiple, troubling instances of child neglect and abuse by the teachers at BrightPath Maynard as well as attempted cover up of these incidents, which are detailed in the public MA DESE reports available on the state site. It surprises me that they have been allowed to stay in business.

  BrightPath Maynard has had multiple child abuse investigations and failed inspections in the past year. As a parent who used to send my kid here, I strongly encourage you to do your research before enrolling. All of the investigation data is public record. Search for "licensed child care search Massachusetts" and look up this location.
