  I have found homecare companies like Assisting Hands to be very helpful for my aging in place strategy. My family discovered Assisting Hands which was recommended by my healthcare team at health systems in the area after I had a series of falls. Having homecare enabled my husband and I to stay in our condo for many years by providing support for activities of daily living including transportation, accompaniment to appointments and ER visits, mobility/fall prevention, medication management, nutrition and food preparation, and more. And when we chose to move to an assisted living facility, but my husband sadly passed away, I asked that they continue to provide many of the services which the facility required me to have. Lori their care manager is very diligent and accessible, warm and empathetic, responding quickly for assistance, and tolerant of last-minute changes. And nurse or medical assistant eldercare specialists like Joan have been a pleasure to work with. They even managed our long-term care insurance plan while in the condo to cover their services. Homecare and private care services such as this provide a critical supplement to the assistance of family and friends who also visited weekly in our condo and for any emergencies. Therefore, I would highly recommend them.

  A very caring group of people from the administration to the care assistants. They got our scheduled care up and running for overnight care in less than 2 days

  I use a power wheelchair and my wife is my primary caregiver. My wife traveled to Puerto Rico for a needed vacation with her law school classmates. For the first time ever, employing a home care agency, I hired Assisting Hands Home Care to provide me with a caregiver, on each day my wife was away, to help me with daily living activities, driving me to appointments, light chores and meals. The caregivers assigned to me were excellent and the office staff were very responsive, especially the owner, Dave! I highly recommend Assisting Hands to everyone needing help or companionship.
