  My father had to go here and was just discharged today. I would never send him here again. First day him being admitted I walked into the room and he was laying flat in his bed when he has a feeding tube and has dysphasia and can aspirate if he's laying down.. I noticed the reels on his bed were only at the top near his head and told the staff that he could fall out of bed because he does at home. But at home at least he has a carpet if he falls in the rehab it's a very hard floor.. about a month later I got to call at 6:00 a.m. saying that he did fall out of bed they took no precautions to make sure that didn't happen when they were notified by myself. They lost his clothing two times even after being told the first time but they were lost and taken without being labeled... They have a button for the nurse and they never answer it. My father had to use the restroom and waited 5 minutes I walked down the hall to the nurses station is as I'm walking you can hear the very loud alarm once I got to the nurses station there were about five employees sitting and standing around the desk while the alarm is loudly ringing they had no urgency to help.. I said do you guys hear the alarm? And the lady at the desk looks at me and says can I help you like no big deal... My father ended up having an accident in his pants... This facility doesn't encourage PT at ALL!!! they can't force him but they can def at least encourage it. If they had put in more effort I guarantee he wouldn't be the way he is right now and barely able to walk safely... I have had to do appeals for the insurance to pay to keep him at this facility and they were all approved. I had the incident with the nurses not answering the nurse button and had complained about not encouraging PT and then all of a sudden next day Sheila said I needed to do the appeal and it was quickly denied... I thought it was odd .. well today apon discharge and looking at the discharge paperwork ,I see that they wrote my dad improved sufficiently and doesn't require the facility services.. that is completely the opposite of what I've been being told..

  The staff and service was very pleasant and caring. My brother received rehabilitation services and kindness that enabled him to regain strength and return home and I am grateful. Thank you Holden rehab.

  I’ve been in three other rehabs and this experience was the best Ny far. Clean and modern. Reasonably well staffed. Good food for real.

  This past July I was taken to Holden Rehabilitation & Skilled Nursing Center for a week following hospitalization for pneumonia. Having never been to a rehab center I didn't know what to expect but my stay there was beyond anything I thought it would be. The entire staff was fantastic going beyond just doing their job; they did so in a caring and experienced manner. On top of this, the surroundings were lovely and interiors were well appointed making the time there that much more pleasant than what I could have imagined. Hoping that I'll never have the need for rehab again but if I do I know what my choice will be.

  I have no clue on how this rehab is, but, I wanted to know what was on the site of the old Holden Hospital. Resulting in Holden rehab and nursing facility. Happy that the land remained medical. Made me smile.
