  My parents have been at Sarah Brayton for almost two months. They are having their typical adjustment, ups and downs. We have been working closely with the staff to make sure everything goes as smoothly as possible. My dad was having a medical issue, and the staff was doing their best to tend to him. On Saturday night, my dad took a turn for the worse. I cannot say enough about how the nurse, Heather, and the CNASs, Laurie and Lucy, handle a very difficult and messy situation. Laurie jumped right in, taking care of my dad, while reassuring my mom that he was going to be ok. Lucy swiftly got the supplies, and everything needed, to handle a chaotic scene, also, while reassuring my mom. Heather immediately took control and got the ambulance there quickly. She met them and ensured all the paperwork was ready to go. That way, the EMTS could get my dad to the hospital right away. Their quick and professional handling of the situation was paramount in my dad's care. These 3 ladies were exceptional from beginning to end.

  My father was there for about 5 years the workers on the Charlton unit were tremendous from the nurse practitioner, nurses,aides, physical therapy housekeeping, maintenance, dietary the unit manager and pallative care.My dad passed this march but I'm glad he was in their hands. Thank you all

  My mother is a resident in the Charlton unit, and my family and I couldn’t be more pleased with the exceptional care she receives.

  I was there to visit my grandmother she spoke so highly of the staff and place and that the activities dept went out of there way to help my grandmother and that she stated that Sheryl came to assist her down to events and went out of her way to see that she had a great time. At my visit I did not get to meet them but she was very happy for the fun activities and she had great things to say about her stay at the nursing home. Thank you very much for going above and beyond to make someone happy in a bad time.

  PLEASE BEWARE!! If you're considering placement of your loved one in Sarah S. Brayton, please don't. This facility should be shut down ASAP! The staff that took care of my Dad (and I use the word "care" loosely), didn't have a clue 90% of the time. He was there for rehab/physically therapy after a hip replacement. He was there 5 days before I pulled him out and received 2 sessions of PT! Seriously?!?! I found out that there is no rehab floor because it was overrun with COVID and most Therapist quit. They now go into work when they want to. No set schedule. He should have never been excepted there!! This place just wanted to fill a bed for the money.. They repeatedly made mistakes on his condition. He was in for a hip but several times the staff were saying "let's get that knee up and running again" OMG! Also, the swill they feed those poor helpless people is not edible for my dogs! HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE, HORRIBLE! Please search for another facility because if you truly care about your family you will NOT subject them to this nightmare of a place.
