We had originally arranged my father's cremation through New Orleans Funeral Home and Cremation Services, which was shut down before his services were complete. In the aftermath, his remains were among those left unaccounted for. Trying to plan a funeral for my father without knowing where he was is a kind of heartbreak I still struggle to put into words, and my family was at a complete loss. Sylvia and her team changed that. We reached out to Greenwood and spoke with Sylvia directly. She worked alongside our family to help locate my father, not as a formality, but as someone who shared our frustration and genuinely wanted to see him brought home. Thanks to their persistence, we were successful in recovering his ashes. We brought him to Greenwood immediately, where they handled the urn transfer and helped us obtain his death certificate with the same care and attention they had shown us from the very beginning. What I had felt was a poor decision on my part was made right the moment Greenwood stepped in. They are true professionals, but more than that, they are compassionate people who made certain my family was thought of and cared for properly during the worst moment of our lives.
