Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home traces its roots back to 1890 when Bailey H. Waller opened a furniture store and undertaking establishment. In 1969, John Hughart purchased the and moved the funeral home to its present day location. In 1985, John Hughart and Alan W. Beard merged Hughart Funeral Home and Beard Funeral Home, and thus Hughart & Beard Funeral Home was created. In January 2015, Frank Giles purchased a portion of Hughart & Beard Funeral Home and thus Hughart, Beard & Giles Funeral Home was born. In 2025, Alan W. Beard & Franklin Todd Giles established Pennyroyal Crematory and are proud to be the owners of the only crematory in Christian County. This ensures that your loved one never has to leave our circle of care.
