I grew up in the Church and raised my children in O'Fallon, so this isn't the perspective of someone looking in from the outside. My family invested many years in this community.
Unfortunately, our experience with the O'Fallon ward was deeply disappointing. We found the environment to be cliquish and, at times, lacking the compassion and support we expected from a Christ-centered congregation. During one of the most difficult periods our family has ever faced, we felt abandoned rather than cared for.
When our family was dealing with serious personal challenges, including a situation where false accusations against our son were being made, we hoped for guidance, fairness, and pastoral support. Instead, we felt that church leaders and many members remained silent. Whether intentional or not, that lack of support left a lasting impact on our family.
The Church teaches love, charity, and following Jesus Christ. In our experience, those ideals were not reflected in the way our family was treated. I recognize that others may have had different experiences, but ours left us feeling hurt, isolated, and disillusioned.
I sincerely hope this ward becomes a place where every family—especially those facing hardship—is met with compassion, courage, and Christlike love rather than silence.

Stop coming to my door! We don't need people here every few weeks! At this point, it is harassing the community. Not trying to join your "church."
