If I could give 0 stars, I would. My family and I visited two different monument businesses while trying to make arrangements for my mom’s memorial, and unfortunately, our experience at Master Craft Memorials in Metamora was extremely disappointing. From the moment we met with Shelly, we felt like we were not being treated with the compassion or respect you would expect when someone is making arrangements for a loved one who has passed away. She repeatedly walked away in the middle of conversations, didn’t take the time to ask what we were looking for before immediately discussing pricing, and came across as very unprofessional and not compassionate throughout the entire interaction. What made the experience even more frustrating was the pricing. We were ultimately able to purchase a monument elsewhere for a fraction of what we were quoted at Master Craft — nearly three times the price for what we were looking for. Thankfully, we found another wonderful family-owned business that treated us with kindness, patience, compassion, and genuine care during an incredibly difficult time. They listened to what our family wanted and helped us create something beautiful for my mom without making us feel like we were simply being sold something. I absolutely would not recommend Master Craft Memorials to anyone, especially families who are already grieving and deserve compassion and understanding during such an emotional process. Our experience elsewhere showed us just how different this process can be when you are treated with genuine care.

Reasonably good product, very poor service, lacking in decorum and compassion

Absolute vultures. The woman there gave a perfunctory “I’m sorry for your loss” before immediately talking about pricing. She was deliberately asked what the final cost would be with everything included very clearly and still gave a cost lower than the final cost with charges and vases added. The woman working there was in a sloppy T-shirt and was very clear that providing valuable customer service was not a priority. We were very disappointed and will be taking our business elsewhere. Edit: I would highly recommend Wyoming Monument Co. They were very polite and quoted a price less than one third what these vultures were requesting for a headstone that was taller and wider (albeit 6 inches deep as opposed to 8 inches).
