Over our several months here with our two children, we did not have a pleasant experience. The turnover, teacher relationships, and general direction from leadership was concerning.

My infant and 2-year-old attended Knowledge Beginnings earlier this year, and it was not a good experience. There were repeated instances of egregious understaffing in both classrooms, high teacher turnover, and facility issues (including a dangling broken light fixture in a room where kids play). I saw a screaming match between two teachers in a room full of kids, and more than once I came to pick up my 4-month-old and found him feeding himself his own bottle with no teacher nearby (he couldn’t even sit up at that age). I reported the staffing issues all the way up to the area manager, noting that they are clearly in violation of state licensing standards. The ratios were corrected for a day and then went back to too many kids and too few teachers. I didn’t feel like my children were safe at Knowledge Beginnings and I ultimately pulled them out after about 3.5 months. I wish I’d done it sooner.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. I strongly advise you do not send your child here. We had a list of issues. Our child was sent home with dirty and crusty clothes on even though he had spare clothes available to change him into. The billing was consistently wrong. The classrooms feel very loud and overcrowded. They are also dark and dingy. The security is not up to par. There is never any staff sitting in the lobby monitoring who leaves and enters. The code can be passed to anyone. The parking lot lights are all broken which makes it difficult navigating a dark parking lot at night with small children. The final straw was when I saw a teacher in my son’s room get physically and verbally aggressive with a child, she was maybe 12 months. I reported it and was told by the Director “She ( the teacher) needs to be reminded that she works with babies.” The teacher was suspended but that is not good enough. I asked the Director to check the cameras to confirm what I saw and I was told none of the cameras work in the classrooms. THAT IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. We pulled our child out THE SAME DAY and he will not return. Do not send your child here. It is not worth the small savings it was compared to facilities in the area. I cannot say it enough - PLEASE DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE. It is not a good environment and I am so disappointed in myself that I sent my child there and that I trusted them to run a safe and caring space for my child. I wish I could contact the little girl's parents who I saw mistreated by the teacher but I do not know them. I hope they were notified and I hope they removed their child from this facility.
