  I went here on a recommendation from a teacher and here’s my experience and overall recommendation. Nice facility. Appears clean. Love their indoor gym too! Huge bonus. Getting enrolled was a little messy and disorganized. Actually I toured and sent follow up and took days to hear back from either director. Shelly and Michelle seem to be on different pages sometimes and communication can be missed or in error. Once enrolled, my daughter (2) seemed to really struggle to adjust. Every morning was a fit, this was abnormal as she usually adjust well after a few days. We transferred to KinderCare of Elgin on Bowes right after learning tree and adjusted right away. We attended Learning Tree for 3-4 weeks, she never adjusted before we left. Very not like her. If you’re little one may also be clingy and struggle to adapt; this may not be the school for you. Very large classroom size, staff is stretched thin in my opinion to really bond and nurture in mornings (before 9am). Also, if you’re using CCAP and have an approval it doesn’t matter until they get change of provider completed. Totally their choice and one they can make just heads up prepare 1-2 months in advance if you rely on it to pay for childcare because they expect full rate until the change is complete even if you already have an active approval. I really regret keeping my daughter there as long as I did and should have went with my gut for KinderCare on Bowes.

  My daughter has been in daycare here since she was 3 months old. She always has a good time, despite going through phases where she doesn't want me to leave. I love the frequent photo updates!

  Our family loves The Learning Tree. Our son has been attending for 3 years and still attends for summer camp and the after school program. The Teachers and Staff are wonderful. Highly recommend.

  We've been sending our kids here since the beginning of 2026 and we are extremely happy with the school. I feel like my 2.5 year old comes home smarter every day he's there. My infant seems exceptionally happy here. The teachers there are absolutely WONDERFUL. They are very caring and get to know the kids & accommodate their specific needs and development. And it blows my mind how the administrators, Michelle and Shelly, manage to remember *EVERYONE*. It's amazing and it really feels like they know us on a personal level. The pricing is extremely affordable when you compare to a lot of the other schools/learning centers in the area. In fact, they are the lowest price we found in the area, but we feel like we're getting so much better quality and value (especially versus the well-known national chain). Communication between parents & staff is very clear & consistent. We feel like we are constantly informed of what's going on, which is great! Choosing a place to send your kids for 8+ hours a day is a real tough decision as a parent, both for your sanity & your finances. The Learning Tree really puts my mind at ease in every area I was worried about as a parent while going through the process of choosing a school for my kids.

  Our kids loved their time at Learning Tree. We had two children attend and were part of the school for multiple years, and have only positive things to say about the teachers and staff here. Even though we've moved and no longer are in the area, our kids still talk about their teachers and the friends they made here. Thank you to all of the teachers and staff at Learning Tree Elgin West!
