  This review is long overdue, but I wanted to take the time to recognize what an amazing daycare Detour 2 Discovery has been for our family. We enrolled our oldest son when he was just 8 months old, and from the very beginning, we knew this place was special. During our initial tour, the staff didn't just focus on our son—they first asked us how we were feeling. As first-time parents, that simple question meant so much. They recognized that starting daycare is a big transition for the entire family, and their genuine concern for our anxieties immediately put us at ease. Over the years, the staff has always been incredibly considerate and accommodating of our son's individual needs. They've regularly shared thoughtful suggestions and practical tips to help support his development, and we've appreciated the ongoing conversations about his growth and milestones. One of my favorite parts has been the daily updates and photos through their app. It gives us such a clear picture of what he's doing each day, what he's learning, and the experiences he's having. I'm constantly amazed by how much he learns from his teachers and how excited he is to share new skills and knowledge at home. Another added benefit has been being under the Bright Horizons umbrella, which has allowed us to take advantage of employer-sponsored benefits and access resources covering relevant parenting topics. As our son prepares to move on to Pre-School, it's bittersweet to see him leave a place that has played such an important role in his early years. But we are already planning to enroll our second child at Detour 2 Discovery. We know that he too will learn, grow, and thrive, and we couldn't have asked for a better place to start his educational journey.

  We've been very happy with D2D since my son started as a 3 month old in 2022. His teachers are warm, friendly, and fun. My son is excited to go to school everyday to see his friends. I love that we get photo and schedule updates throughout the day, which really reassures me that his needs are being met and he's having a blast doing so many activities. I highly recommend D2D. I was extremely nervous sending him anywhere at first since I work full-time, but I have full trust that the staff are wonderful caregivers and truly care about all of the children in their classes.

  I would absolutely recommend this place without the slightest reservations! they were highly recommended for our 1-year old daughter by her pediatrician and they did not disappoint even once in the next 2 years, after which we moved from Chicago. They have the most loving and caring staff we could have hoped for, and were always ready to indulge us by sending updates (photos and/or videos) everyday. They were available after hours to talk, every single day. Our daughter made a great first set of friends in life, both big and small! I have seen the staff go above and beyond when it comes to involving all the kids in the class in special activities like Diwali and other celebrations. There are truly dedicated professionals at D2D.

  D2D has been so wonderful for my 1yr old son! The entire staff treats him as if he was their own child. He has so much fun every day, and it amazes me how much he has learned in 1yr.
