This review is specifically for 2 employees. I want to recognize Terri Lyerla and Michelle Goode. They have gone above and beyond for our family. LaBella, PLEASE keep them on. Terri was with Cahokia/Caseyville, and may be ready to retire, but LaBella, listen up!...you should consider contacting her to stay on at least part-time. She was asked by her boss to stay on, working remotely from out-of-state after she retired and moved and she is still helping the former owner! That says a lot! Michelle always responds to all concerns and FAST. She has been so helpful in keeping Dad comfortable over the past year. I know she is doing her very best to improve this place and hire good workers who truly care. Unfortunately, in this industry, it is an uphill battle with turnover and the lack of good help overall. Keep up the good work!!!

I wouldn’t recommend this place for no one. Under staffed, does not bathe patients nor change them in a timely manner. Management is horrible, no one wants to do their job and when accountability comes to play none of them wants the blame. Rooms are not clean if you are not an active family member in the patients meaning visiting often then your love one falls by the wayside, which is horrible. You have some active nurses and CNA but other than that place is trash. Dinner , lunch and breakfast menu is no better. Please research these homes, before putting your love one in them. These places are state funded and they’re only concerned is their check none of them seems to care about the patient in their finally days.

I’m honestly baffled at the one star reviews. They don’t really elaborate on specific issues with Caseyville N&R. Unless this place has come under new management or hired whole new staff recently, I have a hard time understanding the negative reviews. I can tell you from our family’s experience this place, as of Spring & Summer 2024, is absolutely legit - a true gem IMO. I would give this place 10 stars if I could. We placed my very cantankerous Uncle in this facility. He had a double stroke and was being very uncooperative with the past three places he lived. This nursing home's entire nursing and rehab staff were extremely attentive, professional, and caring. They understood his frustration with being partially paralyzed and unable to speak understandably. The Administrator came in on her day off to show my mom & I around the facility. We also met the lady in charge of activities who told us that they don’t do kiddy activities for adults. They don’t talk down or treat residents like they are in a daycare. Rather, they have real world discussions and have residents and families suggest physical activities. We later met the ladies in Rehab and the Directors of Human Resources and Social Services. Every single person took their time and answered all our questions and made us comfortable. We had better clarity as to how his living and rehab expenses would get paid since he receives Medicaid and Medicare. The facilities were clean (no urine smells + all areas we toured and later visited regularly were completely debris-free), my Uncle was well fed, washed, and taken care of. He settled in here very nicely without any issues on his end or their end. We actually had to tell the staff to stop spoiling him by giving him sweets and foot massages, seriously. (He had a double stroke but wasn’t no fool —— he played that sympathy card to his advantage and had a lot of employees feeling sorry for him; just a con artist, basically.) We even had a family issue brewing over his POA and they offered to get an Ombudsman involved. We were sad to have to take him out so he can live out of state. This place really restored my faith in Nursing Homes. Our family visited other nursing facilities in the Metroeast, MO and IL, to find the best one for my Uncle and this one won by a long shot. The other places were filthy, wreaked of urine soon as you walk in the front door, rude and impolite staff with no customer service skills, and just overall unpleasant. I will say that the only inconvenience we had with Caseyville was a delay with finance issuing him a refund since he left before the month was out. Eventually, he got his money. I’ve recommended this place to anyone who inquired about a nursing facility in the area. The building is older but they had paint supplies out to begin painting each wing a different color before my Uncle was pulled out. Still, this place is nice and clean, in a good area close to Interstate 64, not over crowded with residents, staff were extremely friendly, attentive, and very accommodating.

I wouldn’t take your loved ones here if I were you.
