Our family loves this church! It is so family friendly, and they have so much to keep each family member engaged. On Sundays, everyone attends the first hour together. There are usually two brief sermons, hymns, and communion, called the "Sacrament." During the second hour, the kids break up into age groups for classes, and the adults have separate classes. Everyone is very welcoming.
Our family has kids in grade school and high school, and there has been something great for each of them. The teenagers have weekly activities, go on campouts, have early morning bible study ("seminary"), and have huge dances where they get to know other kids. It's a very fun and wholesome environment. The younger kids go to primary activities for kids age 8-11 twice per month. Members of this church are among the first to jump in and help people with disaster relief after each hurricane. The youth have frequent opportunities to serve in the community at local foodbanks and other local nonprofits. Having a place that encourages the teens to get involved in community service has been a huge blessing to our teens.
Our younger kiddos have enjoyed a summer day camp with lots of fun activities like waterslides, human hungry hippos, and obstacle courses. The older girls go to a week-long girls' camp, and the older boys go on a week-long boys' camp. We are so grateful to have such a strong, welcoming community for the entire family. This church has been such a blessing to our family. If you are looking for a church in the area, I highly recommend this one!
