Midwife On-call
Sep 20, 2025
I have gone from Miami, to Sarasota, to Pensacola looking for an understanding, strong, educated teacher, and preceptor, looking everywhere. And every preceptor just wasn’t a good teacher, or just didn’t believe in me. And honestly, women who were just down right mean, and hateful. Mandy has been a friend, a teacher, and the best preceptor anyone could have. She tells me off when I need it, but never in hate. She believes in me, and helps me with my faults, and allows me to learn. She leaves me space to spread my wings, and really has shown me the way. Mandy is what all preceptors should be. Besides that, she understands that even though I am a student, that I am also a mom, who has mom duties. I am always there, but if I can’t, she gets that my family needs me. Mandy is down to earth, funny, and doesn’t beat around the bush. At births she is extremely professional, yet strong. If she sees a mother who is acting in a way that is dangerous to her baby during labor, isn’t completely educated, or just needs a friend, Mandy always pulls up and is there for her clients! No matter rain or shine, Mandy is one of the best midwives I have seen to date. And I am happy to have the pleasure of not just working with her, learning from her, but also considering her such a good friend. Mandy taught me since I have been at the Pensacola Birth and Maternity center, that we watch out for these mothers. Moms that come to us have so many different backgrounds, and I have learned a new compassion for them all. So…. Thank you Mandy for believing in me as I come to the end of my journey as a student, and step into this new chapter as a midwife. It’s been long overdue, and I wouldn’t have been able to have done it without you! Mandy, love you 🥰
